Sometimes life puts something really good right in front of you, and somehow you still know it isn’t where your heart belongs.
I turned down an incredible opportunity. An assistant management position at a studio, amazing pay, incredible benefits, stability, all of it. I was genuinely SO excited about it. And honestly, on paper, it made perfect sense.
But then I started thinking about everything I’ve already built.
The weddings already on my calendar. The couples who trusted me with one of the biggest days of their lives. The miles I’ve driven, the late nights editing, the weekends away from home, the money I’ve poured into this business, and all the times I kept going when quitting probably would’ve been easier.
I couldn’t give that up.
Photography started as something I loved, and somewhere along the way it became this whole little life I built for myself. And I’m just not done seeing where it can take me yet.
Sometimes a great opportunity can still be the wrong opportunity for you. And sometimes choosing your dream means saying no to something really good because you believe there’s still something greater ahead.
So I chose this. The weddings, the photos, the crazy schedule, the traveling, the uncertainty and all the beautiful little moments in between.
Here’s to betting on myself one more time and seeing just how far this little dream of mine can go. 🤍
