I’ve shot a lot of media days these past few months…
and one thing became real clear:
this can’t just be “picture day.”

Athletes deserve more than standing in line, taking a photo, and leaving.

They deserve a moment.
An experience.
Something that actually feels like the level they’re stepping into.

So I’ve been building.

Refining what media day looks like from start to finish—
not just the photos, but the energy, the presence, the way athletes see themselves when they step in front of my camera.

Because this generation?
They’re not just playing the game.
They’re building their identity, their confidence, their story—online and in real life.

And parents deserve something to take home that actually means something too.

Mic’d Up: Media Day Moments II

Creative direction doesn’t always work without control.

The smoke machine wasn’t consistent enough for the look I’m building — and on media day, efficiency matters just as much as the visuals.

So I went back, explored better options, and switched to canned fog. I tested it on a basketball shoot and immediately had more control over the look and flow. I’m excited to keep refining it.

Because the details are what take it from good to elite.

The only caveat is I’ll need an on-set assistant moving forward. If you’re trying to be part of the process, send me an email.
