I recently had the chance to photograph Dakota with DH Flag Football, and this was such a fun shoot!

Dakota is the real deal. She is an incredible athlete, knows football inside and out and is pretty much the GOAT when it comes to this sport. Beyond that, she is a genuinely great person who is using her experience to encourage and teach the next generation of athletes. She is exactly the kind of person you want young players learning from.

Girls’ flag football is growing so quickly, and so many young athletes are just getting started. Dakota offers clinics, training and resources for players, parents and coaches. If your daughter already plays—or has any interest in playing—definitely follow DH Flag Football and keep up with everything she has coming!

I am truly so humbled by the excitement over this brand-new session. I knew it was going to be beautiful, but seeing you all love it before I have even brought it to life means more than I can say. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Before I share an update on fall and Christmas availability, I want to say thank you.

It is hard to believe I have been doing this for more than 17 years.

I was building sets before photography venues were even a thing, haha! Back then, I borrowed friends’ properties, houses, trucks and barns. I used fields, back roads and just about anything I could get my hands on to create something special. I figured it out as I went, long before there was a ready-made location for every idea.

Now when I tell newer photographers those stories, I realize I sound like the grandma of mini sessions. Basically, I have been around a LONG time, haha!

But even after all these years, I still love every single session. I still love watching your families grow. I still love planning and designing custom, one-of-a-kind sets for you. And I am still just as grateful every time someone trusts me to photograph their family.

Whether you have been coming to me for years or this will be your very first session, I truly appreciate each and every one of you. None of this would be possible without your support, so thank you!

The sweetest little birthday girl from yesterday!

These colorful, traditional birthday sessions are becoming more and more popular, and I absolutely love them. Bright balloons, party hats, stuffed animals and plenty of cake!

Also, a quick gallery update: I have quite a few sessions in my editing queue and SO many beautiful images still to share! If you are currently waiting on a gallery, I promise it will be delivered this week. Thank you so much for your patience and for keeping me so busy!
