I had the opportunity to capture an executive branding session yesterday for a professional preparing for an exciting new career opportunity.

Unlike many clients who arrive feeling a bit nervous, my client approached the session with confidence and purpose, focused on creating professional imagery that would support her next chapter of growth and leadership.

Her new public relations role required two specific images:

A professional 3/4 executive portrait

A personal branding image showcasing a hobby that reflects her personality and interests beyond the office

For the second image, tennis was the perfect choice.

The strongest personal brands are not built solely on job titles. They are built on authenticity. People connect with people, not resumes.

To stand beside Reverend Jesse Jackson Sr. and document him not through a television screen but in real time with my camera; felt full circle.

Growing up, much of what we understood about leadership, politics and culture came through stations like WGN-TV and WLS-TV. The Chicago airwaves carried more than programming; they carried history, civic dialogue and moments that shaped our culture.

He stood alongside Martin Luther King Jr., founded the Rainbow Coalition and expanded the national political conversation through his campaigns for President of the United States and taught us to STAND UP FOR OUR RIGHTS AND WHAT WE BELIEVE IN.

Martin Luther King Day Parade on Auburn Avenue always carried a different energy.😊

In 2009, I was the first photographer in Atlanta. To set up a backdrop featuring Martin Luther King Jr. alongside President Barack Obama, which was positioned right in front the Prince Hall Shriners lodge on Auburn Ave.

Families from all over, stopped by to capture a lifetime photo moment.

$10 / 4x6’s was the going rate!…Just real people allowing me to capture real memories in a place that holds so much history.

I’m still grateful to everyone who supported my photography services and trusted me to document these moments.
