In Arab countries, North Africa, some parts of Asia and traditionally in some Mediterranean and Southern European cultures (especially in Sicily), males hold hands for friendship and as a sign of respect; a custom which is especially noticed by societies unused to it. In Egypt its common For men to display their friendship for one another by holding hands in public. I photographed these Two soldiers on patrol in Giza and wondered what would the world be like if more people put away their fears and held hands? If soldiers could do it anyone can …Such a simple gesture can go along way. What would the world be like If we could show more love compassion and respect for eachother? 📸
