I get excited when people tell me no.
I know how that sounds. But every closed door I’ve ever hit only pushed me somewhere better. Failing out of pre-med led me to marketing. Losing it all as a concert promoter led me to the camera. Getting ghosted on a job I wanted led me right back to the thing I was put here to do.
A lot of what y’all see as my best moves were actually my second choice. I just didn’t know it at the time.
New piece is up on what I’ve learned about hearing “no” — and why I stopped taking it personal. Link in bio. 🔗

Nobody really has all the answers.

Not the people online speaking with confidence.
Not the billion dollar companies.
Not the people you look up to.

We’re all trying to figure it out in real time.

The difference is some people stay students while others pretend certainty.

That realization honestly removed a lot of pressure from my life.

Passion is what got you started.

But somewhere along the way…

you started creating for everything else.

Money. Attention. Validation.

And the quality of your work is starting to feel different 👀

I used to take pride in being called “humble.”

But the more I thought about it…

the more it felt like it didn’t represent who I actually am.

I’m not quiet because I think little of myself.

I’m quiet because I’m sure of myself.

There’s a difference.

Do you think you need to “pop your sh*t” to be respected…

or should your work speak for itself?
