reminded me that yesterday was the three year anniversary of setting foot in . Since then we've covered thousands of miles of , driven over feet of snow, hunted for mosaics, seen the from both shores, climbed questionable buildings and mountains, ate our weight in , and drank all the . I wouldn't have as much fun almost dying all over the world without you мой дорогой. Here's to whatever adventures the hopefully near future bring.

We are almost 3/4 of the way through 2020 and I haven't left the country once. In the meantime I've been editing and looking back at the past few years' trips and all the amazing places I have been able to visit.

Around this time last year I set off for one of the most interesting adventures I've ever undertaken from one Georgia to another . These two sanatoriums are in Tskaltubo, a former Soviet resort spa town where the likes of Lenin and Yeltsin once holidayed. There are still hints of the grandeur beneath all the decay.

Now occupying these hotels are some thousands of internally displaced peoples, refugees of the Abkhazia-Georgian conflict.

It's been almost a year since Scotland and I'm just now getting around to posting photos. It's also been almost three months since I've been on a plane and I'm getting antsy.

Getting around to editing a backlog of 2018 photos.

I hiked Franconia Ridge loop on a whim and was woefully unprepared with only a litre of water and my camera. Somewhere between the thoughts of "I'm going to die getting up this mountain," to "This view is incredible and I'm dying on top of this mountain," and "I'm going to die in the dark coming down this mountain" I figured I rather liked this hiking thing.

Hiked an extra couple of miles just to reach the other entrance, but well worth the 11 miles round trip. Glad to have checked this off the list before it was too cold to swim in.
