March Madness reminded me why I fell in love with sports media in the first place. 🏀📸

From the intensity of Texas and Illinois battling on the court to the emotions that filled every possession, every frame was bigger than basketball. Covering NCAA Division I athletics, the Big Ten, and experiencing the energy of March Madness and the Final Four gave me a front-row seat to moments that athletes spend their entire lives working toward.

As a sports creative, my job goes beyond taking photos. It’s about preserving the emotion after a game-winning shot, documenting the heartbreak of defeat, capturing the celebration in the locker room, and freezing the split-second moments that fans may never notice from the stands.

Shooting Texas vs. Illinois was a reminder that sports tell stories without words—stories of sacrifice, discipline, resilience, and passion. Every athlete on that floor carried years of preparation into those forty minutes, and being trusted to document that journey is something I’ll never take for granted.

Whether it’s March Madness, the NCAA Final Four, Big Ten basketball, or Division I athletics, this is where I belong—behind the lens, chasing moments that become memories and turning emotion into timeless imagery.
