I'm Maggie, a photographer specializing in the art of birth photography. I currently live 30 miles south of Atlanta, and serve the greater metro Atlanta area for both in-home and hospital births. The one who has waited for this day her whole life, and desires to have a memorable and enjoyable birth experience. I don't think I've ever seen a couple more excited to meet their baby as these two were. When the nurse came in and discovered it was time for mama to start pushing, they locked eyes with each other, exchanged the sweetest smiles, and even shared some tears while the room was prepped for delivery. Afterwards, they sat together as a family of three soaking in every tiny detail of their brand new daughter.

Some close friends of mine and I were talking about how this is a comment they often receive when out and about with their kids, usually when one of them is crying...of course. Their response?
⬇️
"Yeah they are, but my heart is too!" I love that because it not only sends out a different perspective to the stranger who made the comment, but it's also a great personal reminder of what’s important.
