It is a HUGE honor and responsibility when a longtime friend, someone I know through animal rescue, requests a session with her soul dog. This sweet and quirky boy has become a cherished presence in her life, and while he is still in decent health, at age 15 every day is precious. We were blessed with some lovely weather to create this intimate and meaningful shoot to document their relationship. It’s always tricky to pick an image to tease the photo shoot but I just loved this one.

A fun night to be out near the river for a photo shoot.....
It’s not every dog, or every owner, who has the energy or stamina to hang for several hours.....but Tran and his best boy Sleepy totally rocked it. We started off in studio but I quickly saw we would likely get more outdoors. So off to the trail we went. This boy was part of a rescue litter named after the Seven Dwarves. Trust me, he exhibited no such behavior during this session. At this point he’d already done an unceremonious face first dunk into the Chattahoochee, which seemed to startle him, although he quickly recovered......and of course sprayed his dad and me with a vigorous shake.

My bet is that he is living up to his name on the drive home, because he got quite a workout during the photo shoot.

Southern Grandpa Gets A Dog

Really beautiful images and experience from …..

Street Photographer | Rest In Peace, Brees

Little Story about this day:

I did my last Surprise with a couple up in the Golden Gate Bridge and I said I’m going home at that time.

But as I was passing by Crissy Field Beach. I saw a dog was looking at me and that time I was not recording on my glasses. As I was getting closer she was with a family walking at the beach with this beautiful sunset with a view of Golden Gate Bridge. So I started recording so I can surprise them with a Free printed photos. Little did I know as I was approaching them and giving them the photos that was there last Family walk with her (Brees)

She will be putting down the next morning🤍

So, I offered them with a free Family photo.

So after taking that photo Allison was saying that they were trying to get a Family photo with Brees but her health declined rapidly. So they don’t have the time to do it. I’m glad that I was there to surprised them with my little gift to them😊

Rest Easy, Beautiful Brees🤍repost

In a plot twist worthy of 2025, major brands are ditching AI and leaning into the "keep it real" movement.

Heineken, Aerie, Polaroid, and even Cadbury are riding the anti-AI wave, mocking Big Tech and positioning human-made creativity as the ultimate authenticity flex. Polaroid's posters around NYC threw shade at Apple and Google ("AI can't generate sand between your toes"), while Aerie's promise to use only real people in ads became its most-liked Instagram post of the year.

But this isn't just brand theater, it's consumer psychology. Half of Americans now say they're more concerned than excited about AI's growing presence, according to Pew. Ads made with AI tools like Sora and Midjourney just lack a certain soul-like quality to them.

For now, the analog aesthetic is still winning over the masses. As Polaroid's creative director put it, "There's always something in our nature ... that layer of imperfection that makes us human and beautifully imperfect."

It's not the camera, or the phone....

A great reminder that creativity lives in the artist not the tool 💙
