A Moment in Time Photography Hi! I'm Mallory Kirchhoff or Mal for short! I am 25 years old born and raised in Atlantic. I can design invitations and announcements as well!

I graduated from AHS and attended Des Moines Area Community College where I achieved an associates degree in Graphic Design as well as in Photography. Both work hand in hand in this business as I help to capture your special moments. I own and operate a small photography business located in Atlantic, Iowa. I started out with a small home ran studio that I operated for 2 years out of my house. On J

une 3, 2013 I opened up my own studio downtown Atlantic. After using that studio space for approximately 6 months I was forced to move everything back home due to issues within the building. I did not let this set back defeat me and my business. In January of 2014 I purchased my own building and have made it my new home. It is located at 806 E 7th street in Atlantic. I will photograph ALMOST anything and am always willing to try something new at least once. :) I am very easy to get along with and work my hardest to keep the customer happy! I'm sure some of you have been wondering what the hold up was on this post....to be honest, I couldn't find the words. When Cole and Kyla began wedding planning I was quick to tell them "you can hire whoever you want, I won't be mad. However, I would be honored to do it.". They were concerned that I wouldn't get to enjoy the day and just be "an Aunt". I honestly couldn't think of any better way to have attended. I was "the Aunt" but I also got to see true happiness and love through the lens of my camera. It was truly an amazing experience. For so many years all we wished for Cole was a lifetime of better health and happiness. In Kyla he has truly found this. The heartstrings were definitely being tugged on, and for the first time in ... well ever I shed tears behind the camera. Cole and Kyla, thank you for letting me be such a part of your special day, it is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Kyla, thank you for loving Cole in such an unconditional way and welcome to the family officially!

The volumes this photo speaks... Every October I post and "empty bucket" in support of those that suffer from infertility and/or infant loss. I share how I will always have a bucket ready and waiting for the moment you have news to share and a little miracle to hold. I want you to feel heard and loved.

Today's session was another one of those moments that I got to fill that empty bucket. I honestly struggled to hold back a few tears when I saw Mr. Wallen and the tote of supplies it took for him to be here. This photo took nearly 45 minutes to sort and set up, but the power and emotions it holds will be timeless.

If you or a loved one are currently on a fertility journey, don't give up hope. Reach out to those around you and know that you're not alone, and you are so so sooo loved.

Today was a bittersweet session. Austin and Kerra have a relationship that anyone would love to have. The way he looks at her is just beautiful. Knowing that the road that lays ahead for this couple while Austin is deployed may not be easy, I have NO DOUBT in my mind they will come through it even stronger and more in love. Add in Mr. Rhett and man are they a cute family! Stay safe Austin! Kerra, you have a village behind you, we see you and we are here for you.
