We haven’t been great about posting this fall - sorry about that! Life has been busy in all the best ways. School, weddings, family sessions, and enjoying a beautiful autumn in New England caught up with us. Hi! We’re Kevin and Jessica Wright, co-owners of Atlas + Stone Photography.

We live in Massachusetts and work all over New England, photographing weddings, couples, and families. We have 3 school-age boys, a dog, two cats, and a full life of travel and adventure. 10 years married this month!!

When we first started A+S, we both did a little bit of everything: photography, editing, marketing, web design, e-mails… all while raising 3 young kids. It was a lot! (But also a totally necessary and important part of our story)

These days are different. Instead of evenly splitting the work, we now have defined roles: Kevin is the principal photographer and creative director, while Jessica handles client communication and back-of-house matters. Our style has evolved from buttoned-up Pinterest posing to a more natural, relaxed approach with vintage film formats.

Our kids are now older, so we’re also devoting more time to personal goals. Jessica is pursuing an MBA while Kevin is practicing more landscape and nature photography. And of course we still make time for the things we’ve always loved: hiking with our boys, exploring National Parks, gardening, cooking, reading, road trips, breweries, and Ghibli movies.

Many couples say they want their wedding to be a huge party for their closest family and friends. Sara + Nick’s wedding at Ocean Cliff in Newport was exactly that — classic coastal chic, but still left room for their big, fun personalities to shine. The celebration didn’t stop from the moment we stepped on site!

Shannon + Kaileen’s wedding at The Bell Inn in Peabody was unforgettable. After vows, dinner, and a golden-hour stroll downtown, they ending the night with an afterparty at the Inn’s very own speakeasy. We loved working with them, their vendor team, and their beautiful families to pull off this perfect day!

Joy and love abound for Jamie + Eli! Their wedding at The Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill was absolutely stunning. The weather was perfect and the vibes were high — we couldn’t have asked for a better day.

Their wedding, their terms. Erin + Jim decided to hold their wedding over a two-day span, with the ceremony on Friday and the reception on Saturday, in the Bristol area of Rhode Island. It was a roaring success! After a short and sweet ceremony at Saint Mary of the Bay Church, the crew grabbed pizza at Brick Pizza Co, where guests spent the time excitedly catching up. We loved being a fly on the wall. The reception at Linden Place the next day was an epic party — Erin + Jim even elected to skip the evening portraits so they could keep dancing and celebrating. And that’s what it’s all about, folks: doing what you want and ditching the rest.

Our spring season kicked off with spirit last week at Abby + Mo’s picture-perfect Providence Public Library wedding. We loved the elegant, detailed design that paid homage to the literary space, and everyone was truly so happy to be there. It was lovely to be surrounded by such positive energy.

Abby + Moe did something different: they sent us a video of themselves practicing their choreographed first dance before the event, to ensure we’d know where to be during each dip and twirl. It was incredibly helpful, and we now recommend this to any clients who have a complex/choreographed first dance, especially those in smaller spaces. Thanks to our amazing clients for the tip!
