It's almost time for the Detroit Ford Fireworks again! Here's my photo from last year

The countdown is on! The 65th annual Ford Fireworks are set to electrify the Detroit skyline on Monday, June 26th. 🎆

One of America's largest and most magnificent fireworks shows by the The Parade Company and Ford, over 10,000 pyrotechnic effects are set to release beginning at 10:06pm for a dazzling 24-minute show over the beautiful Detroit river. ✨✨✨

The fireworks are visible for miles and enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of residents and visitors alike (as well as our international friends across the water in Windsor, Ontario, Canada 👋🇨🇦).

We recommend early arrival, checking City of Detroit Government for information on road closures, and watching from these locations for great viewing:

😎 Fun Fact: This year’s show theme is “Splash into Summer” paying tribute to our great city and the people and communities that make Detroit so special. The show’s choreographer has produced global fireworks shows including for the Olympics.

A time lapse of more than an hour's worth of images from the northern lights show on March 20.

This year's spring equinox brought an incredible show of the northern lights. I was even able to watch them dance up and down the sky with my naked eye. Well worth the 2 am alarm! Here's one of the shots I got.
