One of my favorite things is getting to photograph people through different seasons of life. I photographed Abbey for her undergrad grad photos, so getting to do this season too felt extra special. Abbey is incredibly brilliant and equally kind and lovely to be around.

I love grad sessions like this where we get the time to wander around the places that meant something to you. Samford Lawn, the College of Engineering, the research lab where she spent so much time working hard and building something she’s proud of. I always love getting to hear people talk about the places they spent years investing in and the work they’re proud of.

Congrats, Abbey. So proud of you and excited for what’s ahead 🤍

I was so excited to hang with another quilting mom and photograph her baby on a quilt she had been collecting fabric for throughout the years and made just for her daughter.

Getting to step into stories like this, to see the care and intention behind something handmade and then watch it become part of these everyday moments, it never gets old.

These are the kinds of sessions that feel really special to me. I love getting to connect with y’all like this 💛

I really love getting to step into this kind of work every now and then, especially with someone who sees the world through a creative lens too. Amy makes it easy and fun in a way that doesn’t feel forced at all.

baby Lucy at home 💛

went from maternity photos at botanic to getting to see them at home with their girl, which always feels really special in a full circle kind of way. her nursery is full of the sweetest, most personal touches. things her mom made, little nods to family, books from their travels. It just feels like them.

these at-home sessions are my favorite for that reason. you don’t have to do anything but be there while I freeze these precious moments in time.

A two year milestone session in a precious heirloom dress? I’m there.

Reese’s grandmother planned this session to capture her during this season and it couldn’t have been a better setting. Reese wandered around, played with the flowers, and just did her thing which is always how I like it.

Simple and sweet and something I know their family will hold onto for a long time 🤍

I really love getting to pop over to your holiday celebration and photograph your family right where you are in that season.

If the whole family is together, whether it’s Christmas, Thanksgiving, or just a random weekend when everyone’s home, that’s the perfect time to document it. No big production. Just your people, as you are.

The Price family invited me into their Christmas gathering this year, and it was such a fun, relaxed time.

Same family. New house. Bigger kids.

I first photographed the Brooks family at their old front door, and this year we recreated it at their new one. It’s kind of wild how much can change in a year.

Baby brother is officially on the move, everyone is a little taller, and their new house already feels full of life. I’ll always love sessions at home. They just feel easy and real.

Loved spending the afternoon with this crew and capturing their very first session together as a whole family 🤍

We explored their land, let the kids take the lead (always my favorite), and just leaned into running, laughing, biking trails, and trampoline breaks. It felt less like a photo session and more like really good family time which is exactly how I want these moments to feel. More of this session on the blog!
