A Little About Me
My first exposure (see what I did there?) to photography was my Mom's boyfriend Winslow-who deserves a mention here. I became intrigued by the pictures he took with his 35mm camera. My Dad gave me a Minotla camera for my high school graduation which I used all the time until it went for a swim in the ocean while I was on a sailboat. My husband purchased my first "real" camera in our first year of marriage (25 years ago) a Pentax K1000. I had no idea what I was doing with it-like not at all! But I manged by chance every now and then to get a decent shot or two! Then came Digital cameras! I wanted a DSLR so bad! But it was not in my budget. When my lovely, amazing step Mother Faith passed, my Dad gave me her camera, a Nikon D90 and that is when my journey with photography really expanded. Two cameras later and many lenses, many classes, many hours, and many mistakes I think I have finally found my confidence. I LOVE, LOVE to capture moments in time! I am 47 years old now and when I look back on my life I realize a lot of the memories I have of the journey of my life were created by pictures. Moments frozen in time. How amazing is that? I love to create, I am a seeker of knowledge and wisdom always. I am outspoken and say the wrong things a lot, and I am far too sensitive for my own good! But I am generous and kind and loving to all people and animals a like.I love photography. I can proudly say I am a Photographer.
