Some sessions have a way of staying with you...and Addie's is definitely one of them. 💛

Last spring, I had the absolute joy of photographing Addie's Senior Session, and to this day it's one people still ask me about. Addie had a vision— she knew what she wanted...She wanted photos with one of the cows at the farm where she works, AND she wanted lupines...LOTS of lupines. 🐄🪻

And if you've been following me for a while, you know we made it happen. From the farm, to fields of lupines glowing at sunset, to photos with her fur-baby, it became one of those sessions I'll never forget.

Fast forward to this spring...

It was time for Addie's Cap & Gown Session. 🎓

Now, this one may not have included cows or flowers for miles...but let me tell you—it quickly became another evening that won't soon be forgotten.

Picture this...the forecast called for a chance of rain later on. We met up under bright sunshine, chatted for a quick minute, walked to our first spot as it became cloudy & windy, and I literally picked up my camera to take the VERY FIRST photo...
..and the raindrops started falling. ☔😂

If you've ever photographed in Maine, you know exactly how this story goes.

The funny part? Nobody panicked.

Addie was completely relaxed. Her Mom and Dad were too. We knew our cars were close by if we needed to make a run for it...but instead, we embraced whatever Mother Nature decided to throw our way.🙌

For the next hour, it was photos...then umbrellas...then more photos...then all four of us huddled together under two umbrellas while a downpour rolled through. There were moments when the rain and sunshine were happening at the very same time, and just minutes later the sun came out brighter than when we'd started—as if nothing had happened at all!

Every chance we got...we were taking photos.

Wind. Rain. Sunshine.

And through every bit of it, Addie just rolled with it all.

By the end of the evening, we had captured one INCREDIBLY beautiful gallery filled with just about every kind of light Mother Nature could throw at us in a single session. Honestly...it was pretty EPIC. ✨

Addie, thank you for once again trusting me to capture another milestone in your life. Working with you is always an absolute JOY, and I hope you love these memories as much as I loved creating them. Congratulations again, Graduate! 💛

Here's to a sunny Friday! ☀️📸

Check out this sneak peek from a BEAUTIFUL Commercial Portrait Session for Heather!

When Heather reached out looking to update her professional head-shots, I was, of course, ALL IN! But like so many people who find me, she wasn't looking for just a "standard" head-shot. She wanted images that felt professional, approachable, and true to who she is—and that's exactly the kind of session I love creating!!

It didn't take long to see that Heather is not only a Maine Realtor, but also a devoted Momma with strong family values, someone who is active in both her personal life and her community. Capturing who she is was such an honor.☺

Throughout the session, Heather shared that while she's comfortable creating videos for her business, "still photos" have always felt a little more challenging. She wasn't always sure what to do in front of the camera, and hearing her tell me how much she appreciated the direction and guidance I was giving along the way reminded me why I love this process SO much. Most people aren't professional models—and they shouldn't have to be! My job is to help you feel comfortable, confident, and like yourself.

The evening was filled with great conversation, beautiful light, and the creation of some absolute GOLD out there in front of my lens. ✨ (I think we could've done without THE bugs, lol...but I guess I can't have everything I want😂)

Happy Friday! ✨ Today's Sneak Peek is going out to 4 FABULOUS Colby College Graduates! 🎓

Just days before graduation, I had the honor and pleasure of spending the evening with Caroline, Zoë, Abby, and Hailey and what a sweet group of friends they were! From the moment we started, they had ideas of special spots they wanted to include and I knew this session was going to be a joy to capture. 🙌💛

And honestly, I was feeling pretty lucky on all levels that evening. Earlier in the afternoon the forecast had us wondering if rain would steal the show, and only a few miles away during our session it was absolutely POURING… but somehow, we were blessed with the perfect window of beautiful weather!☀️

The evening was filled with celebratory moments...from cap tosses to the always iconic champagne spray 🍾😂— and so many laughs in between. One by one, I had the chance to capture not only each of these beautiful women, but little glimpses of their personalities shining through in front of my lens.

Congratulations, ladies!! Wishing each of you the very best as you head into this exciting next chapter. Thank you for letting me capture this unforgettable season in your lives! Hope you enjoy your sneak peek!☺

Tonight’s Sneak Peek is from a FUN and memorable CAP & GOWN SESSION with 4 beautiful recent Colby College graduates who absolutely shined out in front of my lens! 🎓🎉

And trust me when I say the beauty I’m talking about goes far beyond the surface. These young women were kind, thoughtful, fun, and completely willing to roll with all of my silly, creative ideas as we spent the evening capturing not only their accomplishments, but the genuine friendships between them. 💛

As the night went on, I found myself completely immersed in getting to know these ladies and laughing right along with them.

But of course…this session also came with one unforgettable “guest appearance” once again—the WIND. 🌬️😟 Long hair whipping everywhere, sashes flying with a mind of their own...we were definitely being challenged by the gusts! But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s how to get creative on the fly and find those little tucked-away spots that suddenly become perfect.

And down by the chapel? MAGIC. ✨ The girls were absolutely glowing.

But hands down, the BEST ending to the night was what started as a CHAMPAGNE SPRAY and quickly turned into what we lovingly renamed… the “CHAMPAGNE SHOWER!” 🍾😂 From surprise early pops that had everyone squealing to the spray of the YEAR that left me smelling like champagne and laughing from ear to ear— it was unforgettable. And somehow, while running backwards and shooting through the chaos, I managed to capture some seriously EPIC photos…with no camera equipment harmed in the making. 🙌📸

📸✨ Sneak Peek: Rosie’s CAP & GOWN SESSION ✨📸
University of Southern Maine Graduate 🎓

When Rosie first reached out, I immediately knew she was a true gem—and that working together was going to be something special. 🤩

Our vision for her Cap & Gown session was about more than graduation photos. Yes, we captured all the excitement of this incredible milestone, but we also made sure to honor the pieces that tell Rosie’s story— from her meaningful sash and stole to the crown that represents a role she holds with such grace, passion, and kindness as the 2025 USA Ambassador Miss. 👑✨

Then session day arrived— just days before graduation— and Rosie showed up ready to go, alongside her sweet mom, Mary, who was the perfect mix of kind, supportive, and right there when needed.

And then...the wind decided it wanted to be part of the session too. 🌬️😅 What started as a beautifully planned evening quickly turned into stronger and stronger gusts, making my original location spots nearly impossible to work with. But with a little determination (and some brisk scouting!), we found a spot that truly felt like it was meant for Rosie’s session.

Because sometimes things don’t go as planned… they go exactly as they’re meant to. And honestly? That’s one of the reasons I love what I do. No two sessions are ever the same, because no two people who step in front of my lens are the same.❤️

Rosie, thank you for trusting me to capture this incredible season of your life. Your grace, determination, and beauty shine so brightly—and it was an absolute honor to document it!

Hey, the truth is most Seniors walk into their session a little unsure…but the best part, they leave glowing!🙌
