Some families gather for a weekend. Others gather from all corners of the country, making the miles disappear for a few precious days together.

This wonderful crew met me in the mountains of Newry, Maine, where we began at the historic Sunday River Covered Bridge before making our way to one of the most breathtaking mountain views. As we photographed grandparents with their children and grandchildren, the skies began putting on a show of their own. Dark clouds rolled over the peaks, lightning flickered in the distance, and just as we wrapped up the final photos, the heavens opened. We all laughed, sprinted to our cars, and ended the evening completely soaked!

Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate—but it becomes part of the story. And years from now, I hope these photos remind them not only of how beautiful the mountains were, but of the laughter, the race through the rain, and the joy of having everyone together in one place.

Congratulations to Tessa and Stephen, who tied the knot at Tessa's grandmother's beautiful lakeside home in Sebago, Maine!
Despite the summer heat and humidity, these two never stopped smiling and soaking in every moment of their incredible day. From the heartfelt ceremony overlooking the water to the thoughtful details woven throughout the celebration, every part of their wedding felt so personal and meaningful.
And can we take a moment to appreciate Tessa's veil? The delicate floral embroidery was absolutely stunning and tied in perfectly with the rest of the wedding design. It was one of those details that made everything feel even more special.

These captures were tucked between lobster dinners, Funtown adventures, Fourth of July celebrations, and the sweetest surprise for Grandma's birthday and retirement. What an honor it was to preserve this chapter for them. ❤️

I met this family in their backyard, where the antique truck, the easygoing atmosphere, and the people they love most made the perfect setting. Some of the family came in out of state to surprise Grandma, so they had to get some photos all together before going off on their own way again! Sometimes the best sessions are simply about pressing pause and documenting a season you'll never get back.

A few months ago, Victoria and Basil wandered through a field of daffodils. This time, we traded yellow blooms for Maine's iconic lupines.

The beauty of photographing dogs is that you don't have to force perfection. Even with a nose that wanted to investigate every smell in the field, this sweet girl still made time for cuddles, kisses, and a few perfect portraits.

I already can't wait to see Basil again, probably when she's all grown up! 🐾💜

Grandparents, their grown children, and little Elizabeth—the only grandchild, and clearly adored by everyone around her. ❤️ From playful shoulder rides to snuggles, kisses, and laughter, every image captured a little piece of what this season of life looks like for this extended family.

There couldn't have been a more iconic Maine backdrop than Portland Head Lighthouse for this beautiful evening together. 🌊✨

Some family vacations are simply too special to leave to phone snapshots. 💙 This incredible family gathered in Northport, Maine, from all across the country to spend time together under one roof—36 family members, four generations, and countless memories in the making. It was such an honor to preserve this season for them, from Grandma surrounded by the family she's helped grow to the tiniest great-grandchildren stealing the show.

Behind these photos were tiny acts of bravery (the bees in the field can be scary for some kids!), lots of encouragement and jokes to bring out shy smiles, and plenty of cuddles in the lupines. 🌿💜 Years from now, I hope this gallery reminds the Rodrigue family not only of how they looked, but of who they were in this sweet season of life.

The Ricks family rented a home in Denmark, Maine, where they spent some wonderful quality time together! The lake, dock, and private little sandy beach made for the perfect Maine backdrop. It was a little obvious which cousin was everyone's favorite - but with those chubby legs and cheeks, can you blame them?!

Petals & Prosecco for the sweetest bride-to-be. 🌸🥂

It was such an honor to help bring my now sister-in-law Victoria's bridal shower to life and capture every beautiful detail along the way. From the personalized prosecco bottles with floral ice cubes, the stunning macaron tower, a floral charcuterie board and handmade "Wifey" cake, to the DIY wine charm station, every little touch was so thoughtful.

Set in the gorgeous gardens at The Gardens at Uncanoonuc Mountain in New Hampshire, it truly felt like a hidden oasis. My 6-year-old came along and soaked up every girly moment, while the afternoon was filled with mimosas, Taylor Swift, lots of laughter, and a surprise visit from my brother and nephews (flowers in hand, of course!).

It was the perfect afternoon celebrating these two, and I'm so grateful I got to be a small part of it. 💕

I'm still making my way through all of June's beautiful lupine sessions, and today I'm so excited to introduce you to Billy and Sadie! 💜

These two met more than nine years ago in high school, and now they're planning forever together! They dreamed of an engagement session surrounded by Maine's beautiful lupines, and nature certainly delivered. Between the soft afternoon light, endless blooms, and the sweetest moments together, this session felt like something out of a storybook. I can't wait to celebrate with them this September at YMCA Camp of Maine in Winthrop!
