Some places don’t just host weddings…
They preserve memories.
When I looked across the grounds while echos were coming from guests on the dance floor I had to go sit in the grass (ok maybe I laid) to photograph this.
Making this image, I didn’t just see a little boy on a swing. (Peep that majestic tree house too) I saw scraped knees, fireflies at dusk, grandparents waving from the porch, climbing trees that seemed to touch the sky, and evenings when time didn’t matter because home was wherever your family gathered.
In a world that moves faster every day, places like Corry House remind us that the sweetest things in life have never changed.
This beautiful venue wasn’t simply built—it was lovingly created on family land, where generations have made memories long before wedding dresses, first dances, and celebration dinners filled these grounds. That history is what immediately grabbed me and makes it so special.
Now, new families begin their own stories here…
Children swing beneath the same trees where laughter has echoed for years.
Couples promise forever beneath branches that have stood through generations.
And guests leave with the feeling that they’ve been part of something much bigger than a wedding day. I know I did.
As a photographer, these are the moments I treasure most—not just beautiful portraits, but the quiet reminders of where we came from and what truly matters. to top it all off this was the first wedding that I officially partnered with my daughter Elle on-as she did the videography. It was such a special weekend.
Anyway-Maybe that’s why this little swing caught my heart.
Sometimes the most unforgettable part of a wedding for me isn’t just the vows or the ceremony…
It’s the feeling of coming home.
