There’s something about the little details that quietly shape the entire feel of a wedding day.

The worn leather boots and cowboy hat.
Horse shoes tied with ribbon for their guests.
Soft greens and calla lilies that felt like they belonged right here in the mountains.

Nothing was overdone, but very intentional.

The best weddings always feel like a reflection of the couple and the life they are building together. Small touches make the day feel personal and not just pretty.

Western, elegant, and surrounded by the best views at Spruce Mountain Ranch!

Grooms deserve their moment too.

Sean and his groomsmen showed up with all the energy—laughing, singing together, soaking in the views, and genuinely enjoying each other’s presence before the day really kicked off. Those in-between moments matter. They’re the calm and the hype before everything starts moving fast.

I’m big on making space for grooms on a wedding day—not stiff posing or forced moments, but time to be present with your people and actually feel the weight and joy of what you’re stepping into.

And when it came time to celebrate? These guys knew how to party. They danced their butts off like I’ve never seen before and brought the dance floor to life all night long.

Destination weddings in Steamboat Springs have a way of bringing out this relaxed, joyful, all-in kind of energy, and this day at the Steamboat Grand was no exception.

Planning a destination wedding in Steamboat Springs and want photos that give both of you space to be fully present?

I’d love to tell your story. 🤍

Jenay and Bennett’s elopement was a day built slowly, intentionally, and exactly the way they wanted. 🤍

We started with a relaxed morning getting ready, shared an intimate beach ceremony with just family and close friends, then spent the rest of the day together. A true beach day ending with a sunset bonfire and time to actually be present with everyone there. No rushing and no strict timeline.

This is why elopements are so special. They give you the freedom to design a day that fits you. This could be a slow morning, time with loved ones, or celebrating all day instead of squeezing everything into a short ceremony window. Elopements aren’t about less… they’re about intention.

Jenay + Bennett, thanks for letting me be apart of your special day 🫶🏼

This past weekend my best friend, Shelby, and I sat in my office going through galleries, choosing landscape images for the gallery wall in her new home. It felt like such a full-circle moment revisiting places I’ve been, memories I’ve carried, and realizing how God has gently led me to each one.

Some of these images were never meant to live on Instagram. They were meant to live on walls.

In 2025, I traveled more than I ever imagined. Mountains at sunrise, winding roads, places that stopped me in my tracks and reminded me how small I am and how big God is. Every place carried its own stillness and a reminder to slow down and notice.

I’ve been so lucky to experience this world the way I have. Not just passing through it, but really seeing it.

Landscape photography matters because it holds context. It tells the story of where you were, not just what happened. It shows how deeply a place influences the way a story is felt and remembered.

If you’re dreaming of photos somewhere that feel meaningful to you, I’m always open for traveling.
