A few photos from my session yesterday morning with the Harper family. They are such a fun and beautiful family. It was wonderful to see them again. Their two girls have grown so much! And I absolutely love when families bring their dog to their family photo session! Their rescue pup, Lola, stole my heart!

I hadn't been back home since 2019, and then the world was grounded due to Covid. I was beyond excited to not only get back home this past August, but to be able to take senior pictures of this beautiful, and so grown up, girl! Maya was my first model. I started film photography in 2004 and had never planned on being a portrait photogrphy. I started taking pictures of Maya for my photograhy class, and it all began from there. It was such a fun day with her and her momma, two of my most favorite people.

Last weekend I took some senior pictures of my good friend's beautiful daughter, Tiffany. We had so much fun! I really enjoyed getting my camera out again. :)

Announcement: Airington Photography is Closing
Yes, it's true. After almost 10 years, I recently made the decision to close Airington Photography. This has not been an easy decision, but something I have actually thought about since last year. I love photography. It is who I am. I took my first black and white film course in 2004, and it was then that I found my passion for it. My photography took a different turn than I planned or expected. In 2007, I launched my photography business. I have truly enjoyed watching families grow year after year. Saying goodbye to the wonderful families I have been honored to photograph is the hardest part about this decision. I'm incredibly grateful for the friendships I have formed with many of you.

Since becoming a mom, many priorities have changed. The last two holiday seasons I have adjusted my business and have tried to make it work. Due to the huge change in my availability, I feel at this time I just can't fully give the same level of service and flexibility that I have been able to in the past. I currently don't see this changing in the near future. So, the time has come to take a step back and focus on being a mom as well as focus on some new endeavors and learning opportunities. Photography will always be a part of who I am and my camera will not be collecting dust. 🙂

I'm very thankful to everyone that has supported and encouraged me on this journey. I feel very blessed! My entire business has been referral based and very little advertising. Thank you to my clients and friends for believing in my work and helping me build a successful business. I will forever be grateful.

So big! I do wish time would slow down, just a little. Reyla's Valentine's day outfit I made. Sewing and raising this extraordinary little girl is what I do these days. :)
