A travel podcast interviewed me about my time living in Bhutan, the Amazon, Indonesia, and of course, the USA.

seeks to help others answer the call to adventure. The theme of my episode is “cultural immersion.” In it, I talk about why I waited until I turned 30 to live abroad and what I’ve learned from living amongst monks, shamans, and your average Joes.

There are moments at a wedding that can bear a lifetime of hopes and dreams. These moments often involve the parents—there never seems to be a more proud person in the room than a father or mother.

Montana’s father has been battling myeloma for 14 years. His dream was to walk his daughter down the aisle. It was one of the first things we talked about with Montana and Jeffers and the heart of a long conversation with her parents. After a full remission and a very, very long journey, he was able to do that very thing. You can read more about their story in an article that came out today (link in bio).

Congrats to the entire family! We know this was one of the most important moments of your lives.

Eesh, this dress… Whitney put everything into designing this custom dress, and Raffael was blown away when he first saw her. Their hard work and thoughtful design made every part of their wedding day exactly as they had envisioned. Whitney and Raffael showed us that if we take the time to design our wedding and even our lives the way we want it to be, that is just how it will turn out.

The balance between lightness and darkness.

Both elements seem to be expressing their voices through our imagery. The more we do this the louder those voices become. We value both in life and we strive for balance. Balance in work and play, in solitude and gathering, in sadness and happiness.
