One way I wake my daughter up in the morning is by making bacon. She hears the sizzle from the other room and knows exactly what's happening — no announcement needed. That's the thing about sound: it tells you what's going on before you can see it.
I made a new video about the two parts of video production most people never think about — sound and color — and why they quietly decide whether a project works. It even starts with the bacon.
It's also a little bit of a confession about something I stopped doing myself a couple years ago, and why handing it off made my work better.

If you've noticed we've been a little quiet lately — here's why!

For the past month, Hen's Bread Productions has been working under a long-term photography contract with a major international sporting event, photographing hospitality guests from around the world. It's been an incredible experience, and while we can't share the details (or the photos!), it's kept us very busy.

That contract wraps up July 14 — which means our calendar is opening back up! 📸

We're now booking sessions starting mid-July. Portraits, events, and everything in between — message us or visit hensbreadproductions.com to grab a date before they fill up.

New case study in the portfolio.
In March we filmed a brand film for Bluehost — one of the world's largest web hosting companies — featuring Stylist Pays Stylist, an Austin-based platform for hair salon professionals.
Two crew. Six cameras. Two locations in one day.
The contract was for footage. We also built a 90-second brand film, a 15-second pre-roll cut, and shot BTS photography on set — none of it was in the brief.
