A Capitol engagement.

It’s one of the most sought-after locations — and for good reason. The architecture, the scale, the light… it all speaks for itself.

I’ve photographed here enough to know it well — which means I’m not just chasing the obvious shots. It gives me the space to create something new each time through light, direction, and a different perspective.

Lucy and Rodney — the quiet moments before their February ceremony.

The day after Valentine’s Day brought an extra layer of romance. The kind you don’t have to force… it just lingers.

The weather showed off for Texas — a soft breeze, warm sun, the kind of light you hope for but don’t always get.

A first look with her dad… then another with her soon-to-be husband.
Both slow, intentional, and full of feeling.

Pearl and lace details softened everything — like the entire day was wrapped in something gentle.

Just the way it should be.

There’s nothing I love more than documenting the people I love most in their biggest milestones.

Something I love to incorporate into sessions is little clips like these. It’s not something I advertise, because I never want it to take away from the experience—but when the moments allow, I always love to include them for my clients.

I can’t wait to meet this precious baby girl 🎀

Lucy. My model bride.

When Lucy told me she was considering me as her wedding photographer, I was genuinely honored. She’s worked with so many photographers—and she chose me. Wow.

Lucy radiates peace. She’s always been easy to work with, but seeing the joy in her eyes once she stepped into her wedding gown was something else entirely.

There has always been something about her eyes that I love photographing. I can be standing clear across the room and still feel pulled toward them. They hold so much presence, so much calm, so much story.

Excited to share these previews from her bridal session.

The Larsons, party of three.

Shay and Nick hold such a special place in my heart. I’ve documented them since their engagement—Shay’s bridals, and they were the very first couple to trust me with their wedding day. When Shay reached out about maternity photos, my heart felt so full. Being trusted with yet another milestone in their lives is something I’ll never take lightly.

Growing alongside my couples isn’t something I realized would become such a meaningful part of my job, but it’s easily one of my favorite things. When you hire me, yes—you’re hiring a photographer—but I also become deeply invested in you, your love story, and your lives. We truly grow together.

I cannot wait to meet baby Larson and watch these two shine in parenthood.

Sydney & Tristan — the ceremony & reception.

Part three.

One of my favorite parts of Sydney and Tristan’s day was watching how much their friends loved their love. The expressions on their best friends’ faces as Sydney walked down the aisle, and again when they kissed for the first time as husband and wife, said everything.

The ceremony had a rom-com feel in the best way—they kissed before the officiant officially pronounced them married. It was perfect.

The reception was full of life—and hugs. So many hugs. If you look closely, you’ll spot two groomsmen hugging each other while watching Sydney and Tristan during their first dance. Moments like that never go unnoticed by me.

One thing I always love to document is finding the couple in the middle of the dance floor, surrounded by their people, yet completely locked into each other—like it’s just the two of them. Even though they made intentional time for everyone, they always found their way back to one another — like magnets.

This day is one I’ll never forget—and a reminder of why I love documenting love the way I do.

Cheers to the newlyweds.
Cheers to Mr. & Mrs. Cavazos

Sydney & Tristan — first look & formal portraits

Part two.

Sydney and Tristan chose to do a first look so they could spend as much time together as possible on their wedding day. I remember Tristan being completely enamored by Sydney from the moment he saw her.

Their first look rolled seamlessly into formal portraits—nearly all of them uncued. Just two people, fully in love. I had to gently remind Tristan to look at the camera for a few seconds because he simply couldn’t take his eyes off his bride.

Bridal party portraits were unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. The guys were openly affectionate and so intentional with one another. I remember thinking I could make an entire post just of people hugging—because the number of hugs that day was unlike anything I’d ever seen.

The girls cozied in close between photos, sharing warmth against the cold air, their smiles never fading. When family joined, they ran toward one another with open arms.

The weather was cold—but I distinctly remember someone asking Tristan how he felt.
He smiled and said, “I just feel so warm.”

I’ll never forget that.

Sydney & Tristan — the before.

You never really know what Texas will give you in December.
Ninety and sunny… or forty and overcast, like this day.

The air was cold, but the warmth came from everywhere else. Not just from Sydney and Tristan—though their love was unmistakable—but from every single hand-picked guest who surrounded them. This day settled into my heart.

Part one: getting ready.

Sydney chose to rework her mother’s wedding gown. A dress from another time—full of details you don’t often find in today’s boutiques. The moment I stepped into the bridal suite, I felt it. Warmth. Ease. A room full of people completely there for their girl.

All hands on deck. Every button fastened with love.

The sky was gray, but Sydney radiated light.
A quiet first look with her dad.
A moment with her mom, honoring where the dress—and the story—began.

This was the start of something really special.
