The tiniest days, exactly where they happened. 🤍

There’s something so special about photographing a newborn session at home — no rushing out the door, no trying to make life look perfectly polished. Just your baby in their nursery, big brother climbing onto the bed, dad leaning in for another kiss, and all of those little moments that already feel completely normal… until one day they aren’t.

This is why I love documentary newborn photography. We’ll still give you the beautiful portraits, but we’re also documenting what becoming a family of four actually felt like in this season.

The nursery you spent months putting together.
The way they fit into your arms.
Their tiny toes and sleepy stretches.
The way an older sibling looks at the baby who just changed their whole world.

These are the photographs that become more valuable with time.

World Photography Day felt like a good excuse to post since I’m usually yelling “WAIT, THE LIGHT IS SO GOOD” from behind a camera. 😂📸

Brian and I spend a whole lot of weekends documenting other people being wildly in love, crying during vows, tearing up the dance floor, and living some of the best days of their lives.

And somehow, we get to call that a job.

Still feels a little insane. Still feels really damn cool.

Here’s to the blurry dance floor photos, the windblown hair, the ugly cries, the little moments nobody else noticed, and all the stories we haven’t gotten to tell yet.

Haley & Brandon’s wedding at The Mansion was one of those days where everything just flowed.

There wasn’t a huge focus on creating moments for the camera. Instead, the day was spent with family, riding the trolley through Austin, laughing with friends, and actually getting to enjoy being married.

Not every maternity session has to happen in a field at sunset.

Sometimes it’s your backyard.
A picnic blanket.
A bowl of cherries.
A garden hose.
The person you’ve built a life with.
And the realization that everything is about to change.

This is what we love most about maternity photography-not recreating Pinterest, but documenting the ordinary moments that will one day feel extraordinary.
