and overcast afternoon with the future mr. + mrs.

It’s true what they say about cloudy days- they make for the best outdoor portraits! The soft even lighting means we can okay with any angle at any time of day. When Kayla reached out with her initial vision & our original location fell through, I knew exactly where to take her + Michael! While I’ve photographed weddings at I’ve been dying to go back to really dive into the details of this place.

The nostalgic feeling of the grounds paired up perfectly with K + M’s natural chemistry. Looking forward to meeting all of the couples that 2025 brings my way, no matter the weather🌞

Western editorial of my dreams 🌾

I don’t normally lean into western-inspired work, but when I saw Alexa’s inquiry come through something about the connection just felt right! We lucked out with the perfect overcast sky for our session and they were such great sports about strolling around with the pups throughout our time together. There’s so much to share from this session so expect to see many more details on your feeds + stories soon

late night flash vibes 📸

Late night flash photo ops are such a fun add-on for my brides that really give me strong main character energy⚡️ As a wedding photographer it’s my job to know my couples, what the want, and how to read the room. If I feel like my couples are open to it I absolutely loveeee to steal them away for a quick photo sesh just the three of us! It’s not everyone cup of tea but it sure is mine 😉

The Ravesies in black + white

It’s been a hot second since I’ve given my feed some black & white images so here’s some of my favorites from A + P’s wedding collection. Reflecting back on this Camp Lucy wedding is such a full circle moment for me! Over the span of meeting them, vision planning, engagements, and seeing them through the wedding day, I’ve lived big moments of my own right alongside them. It’s hard to explain, and maybe I’m alone in this, but certain personal memories of mine are tied to each individual couple.

For example, I had my baby just a month before photographing their engagement session. I remember the feeling of not quite yet fitting into my clothes & hoping they didn’t worry that I would show up to their wedding day looking so uncoordinated! They even drove from Houston to accommodate me not being able to travel or leave my baby for that long. Just a week before their wedding, that same baby got to meet all of my brothers and sisters for the first time, I gained another adopted brother, and I managed to fly with 3 children under 4 (all while being so excited for this wedding to follow the week after). Even now as I sit here reflecting, it’s taken me almost 45 minutes to type out this caption because I’ve had two sick babies crawling all over me, which is a core memory of its own!

All that to say- I may be the keeper of some of your most precious memories, but you’d be surprised to know that many of you are tied to quite a few of mine 🤍

A few months back I shared some in-home coffee date inspo & Anna was all for recreating it with our own spin! We had already done her maternity photos, so we treated this as a creative/newborn/lifestyle session of sorts☕️🪴🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

This gallery did so much for my creative soul! It really showcases what my “true to life” style means. Sometimes dark, sometimes bright, and often somewhere in between. I want my art to preserve moments without turning them into something they never were (if that even makes sense).

I’ve followed Anna’s gardening journey for the last few months, so photographing her & her family in something she’s put so much time & energy into was so special for me. She was able to tell me exactly what vegetable + herb was which without even looking closely at it. I was given samples of her chocolate peppermint plant and got to see all the fruits of her labor! Watching her oldest pick chamomile & and excitedly accept a handoff of peppers gave me a glimpse of the passion for growing that her mother’s no doubtedly shared with her.

I could go on + on about all of the special moments shared at this session, truly! We shared an artistic vision but the T family made it more beautiful than I could’ve hoped for🫶🏻

I think 2024 needs more discounted creative sessions!
