This band was one of the first groups I had photographed from a photo pit type setting back in 2015. I was shooting unofficially and only had a Sony point-and-shoot with me. I had very little experience with editing for concerts, so I said screw it and put a high contrast b&w filter on it and called it a day 🙈. Here is my attempt at Cold War Kids from their show last night, roughly 5 years after the first time I photographed them. Scroll thru to photo 6 to see that b&w shot from their set in 2015 😝

If you haven’t already, get over to Kinda Tropical asap. Their drinks are great, and their aesthetic is chill, but their food is the best part imo. I mean LOOK at that (vegetarian) burger🤤 Plus they have CBD as an add-in to your cocktail if you’re looking to vibe out 🌀🤪🌀 Thanks for having me out KT!

Starting this off by saying thank you for reading this, thank you for following along, and thank you for supporting a passion of mine. 2019 was a huge growth year for me, both in my photo career and personal life. This year really pushed me to understand this passion, the industry and what it means to be a creative. I achieved some of my lifetime photo goals this year and I’m forever grateful for the opportunities I’ve been granted. I’ll always have a passion for concert photography, but I’ll also be taking some time in 2020 to understand the next step for me in my creative direction. Per usual for me this time around, I wanted to share some highlights from the year that didn’t make it to the feed. Thank you again for following along and pushing me to be better. Cheers to the start of a new decade y’all. ❤️

Damn, seeing night 2 of Catfish and the Bottlemen really makes me regret not going for night 1. Also, I heard ppl started lining up for the show at 10am 🤯
