Wrapping up my busy outdoor season with this beautiful extended session for the Haugen family!
They invited me out to their family farm, the very place they all grew up, at the height of those gorgeous Minnesota fall colors, with the perfect overcast skies to photograph a story that started back in 1989. How special is that?!
Mom and Dad were gifted this session, and I know it can be A LOT to organize everyone you love into one place, but oh my goodness, what a gift it is! Getting everyone together, laughing, sharing stories, and making new memories while honoring all the ones that came before is something you just can't put a price on.
Because these are the moments we cling to when we need them most. The photographs we look back on, the stories that come flooding back, and the reminders of the people and places that made us who we are. 🤎
Family sessions are meant to go with the flow! Yes, we'll get those important photos for the wall, but I also want to step back and watch your family magic unfold. I want to photograph those tucked-away places that mean so much to you. I want to hear the stories, learn about the memories made on the land where your family began, and capture the little in-between moments that make your family YOURS.
It truly is a joy and something I will never take for granted. Being invited into a place filled with so much history, love, and meaning is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
So, I'll say it again because I know I say it all the time... PLEASE please please invite me to your favorite places! Your family farm, the home you grew up in, Grandma's backyard, or that little spot that holds a million memories. If it holds your story, I wanna capture that.
