“I love seeing your photography on my feed. It’s like a breath of fresh air.”

One of the best compliments I get from people when I connect with them in person. And I get it. I’m tired of losing friends to their screens, watching people turn into zombies scrolling through life instead of living it.

So here’s your daily reminder: enjoy life away from your tiny computer you call a cellphone. Breathe. Wear something fun and be you. Play. We’re not alive so we can narrow our vision or evolve our necks our backs to fit technology. We’re here to feel the wind, notice the flowers, and laugh with people face to face.

(And yes, since I talk about this so much, there will be a photo series about it.)

Breathe deeply, y’all. The world is meant to be lived in without guilt.

There was A LOT going on this weekend and I might have been holding my camera for a third of it. But one thing’s for certain: I will always infuse whimsy where I can.

Set design perks me right back up. Screens shut my focus down. The more I can build a playful place to be and live in, the happier I am, and so is whoever works with me. It’s like being a kid again, only now with choices and money to fund those fun, playful projects.

I’m also very thankful when I get to shoot with people who have the same whimsical POV. Many thanks to for always having such fun seasonal sets, and to model for making you want to buy whatever she’s holding just by the way she holds it.

“Looking polished is the opposite of looking smart and in control,” a potential client once told me.

This baffles me. Elevating your look by getting your hair and makeup done isn’t throwing away your goth or emo-kid self or watering *you* down. On the contrary, it shows you have it together, that you’re organized, and that you’re confident. You can look put together and still express yourself, other people’s opinions be damned.

I love seeing hints of your personality in your outfit. I know you’re fun, and we’ll get along. This is why shooting is so fun — you get noticed for the effort you put into creating something distinctly you.

So wear that color. That crocheted crown. I’m the last person to tell you to stick to the status quo, fashion-wise. Shed the “what you think you should” mentality and embrace self-expression, sparkles, and that dress that’s been waiting for you in the back of the closet.

I’m here as a photographer to express *you* the human, and the clothes are just a vehicle and an extension of that. What look should we celebrate and shoot together?

Makers, creative business owners, and dreamer-doers of Austin: this is your time to show them what you’re made of.

Your art already speaks for itself. I’m here to create the photographs that help carry that story even further.

Introducing “What We’re Made Of,” a limited-run branding shoot offering opening this summer.

If you create work where the art speaks before you ever say a word, I’m here to put that front and center in your . We’re not just photographing the finished product. I’ll be in your studio capturing the moment you pull your latest piece out of the kiln, weave a quilt from upcycled fabric scraps, or take a newly bound leather story off the shelf.

Here’s how it works: you tell me what you make and what your world feels like. I help construct the set, the scene, and the light naturally within the space where you live and work. Your craft is its own world, and your imagery should reflect that too. My role is to capture you inside that world, not just standing in front of your products.

This is not just a headshot.

This is not just a generic brand shoot.

This is a photographic story that says: I built something real and meaningful with my hands, my mind, and my heart.
