Not everything that photographers obsess over actually helps them grow.
Some things make your life easier. Others have a direct impact on how many clients you book and how fast your business grows. The hard part is knowing the difference.
It’s easy to spend thousands on gear or years chasing the “perfect” portfolio while overlooking the things that actually bring in clients.
This ranking is based on what I’ve learned after building a six-figure photography business from scratch. You might agree with some of it, disagree with other parts, and that’s completely fine.
At the end of the day, success in photography isn’t about checking every box. It’s about focusing on the things that move your business forward the most.
