The only thing I’m sure of in 2026, is that I resolve to meet more newborns. 💛 There are no more tiny people in this house, and I miss them dearly! So, if you’re a pregnant Texas mama who loves film photography and documenting your beautiful, wild life, it’s about time we became friends. You’ll love the slow-paced experience of newborn sessions and I promise you’ll treasure forever the images of these simple, at-home days.

Don’t overthink taking photos with older kids! They still love playing and getting quality time with their parents. 😉 So pick an activity you can all enjoy, and then do just that- enjoy yourself! I think you’ll be surprised how incredibly easy it is to create photographs that are beautiful AND mean something.

Finishing my last galleries of the year. So incredibly thankful for the gift that family photography has given me. There is something incredibly holy about stepping into your sacred spaces and bearing compassionate witness to the love and life you create together. The value of documenting it only grows as time passes. And I’ve decided, next year, I need a Christmas session for my own family! It won’t be long until we have our first moving out and I’m not ready…

It’s me! What a fun surprise to find this picture in the images taken by a 3 year old girl. 💛 I say often that I let curiosity lead me during a family session, and I also love to encourage the curiosity of the kids in the family, too! So when they are interested in my cameras, I make sure they get a turn. And often, it’s pretty magical what happens!

And it’s exactly how I feel about photographs! 😉 When a photo is too pretty, it can rob it of personality and humor. And what’s more beautiful than personality and humor?!
