Have I mentioned that August was really hot??? Surely this is revelatory news 🤪 My Oura ring literally thought I was swimming when I was, in fact, photographing a wedding. This month was spent either inside, at the pool, or at Chapel Dulcinea it feels like 😂

Reading | Lots of “Living like an artist” fiction! Really loved re-reading “Just Kids” by Patti Smith, it feels much more resonant now than when I first picked up the book at 20

Eating | Honestly idk??? I didn’t take any pictures of food this month which is so weird for me!

Photographing | Lots of intimate weddings for you crazy kids getting married in this heat ☀️

Obsessing | My annual Stardew Valley addiction continues!

Recommending | that you stream the newest Ne’er-do-well song that came out last month 😉

Treating | lots and lots of movie dates 📽️

The ‘ber months are my favorite time of year so I can’t wait to be in pumpkin season and for maybe even getting to experience 80-degree weather in September 😭

Chloe planned a truly unforgettable proposal for Desiree! She proposed at the spot of one of their first dates. Sneakily got her family in town for the occasion. When she found out D’s favorite candy was no longer sold, she reached out to the company personally (and the company sent them candy!) And of course, she hired a professional to capture it all on camera. 📸

It’s always so fun to be a part of a sneaky secret and get to watch all the surprises unfold! 🤫

What a month! I started the Artist Way with friends, ate a lot of hot dogs, spent hours at the pool, watched Ne’er-do-well shred, played a lottttt of Stardew Valley, and - of course! - took pictures of people in love ❤️‍🔥

Reading | I promise I actually read quite a bit but I’ve been reading like 4 books at the same time 😆 I’ve really been enjoying Daily Rituals: How Artists Work

Eating | Zucchini everything!!! This month I baked Zucchini chocolate chip cookies, zucchini bread, and zucchini crumb cake

Photographing | A little bit of everything - family/senior photos, a proposal, engagement sessions, and an intimate wedding

Obsessing | I fear I have fallen into yet another Stardew Valley obsession lol

Recommending | Re-visiting the crafts you loved to make as a kid!

Treating | I bought my first medium format camera this month 📸

Hoping to soak up as much summer-y stuff as possible in August ☀️ (and maybe get a single photo of myself to share & prove I exist!)
