There’s so much pressure to make the “right” choice for your wedding day—venue, timeline, first look or aisle reveal, golden hour portraits or sunset exit. It can feel like every decision comes with a list of rules and “shoulds.”

Here’s the truth: there isn’t one perfect way to do this. There’s only *your* way.

My job isn’t to push you into a trend or talk you into something that doesn’t feel like you. I’m here to walk you through the real pros and cons, show you how each option might *feel* in the moment, and then help you choose what actually matters most to you—connection, calm, fun, family, or a mix of it all.

When you look back at your photos years from now, I don’t want you to remember stress or rushing. I want you to remember how seen, relaxed, and fully present you felt with each other. Every decision we make together is anchored in that.

She leaned into him just as the sun dipped low, and everything got quiet for a second—like Austin itself was holding its breath for them. Golden hour wrapped around their shoulders, catching the soft smile he saves only for her, lighting up the tiny in-between moments: the way his thumb brushed her hand, the way she laughed with her whole face, the way they forgot I was even there.

They’re in that season where love feels both brand new and deeply rooted—full of warm beginnings and steady promises. The light didn’t just make the photos beautiful; it mirrored what’s happening in their lives… a glow that says, “We’re exactly where we’re meant to be, and this is just the start.”

Question
Which season of your love story are you in right now—just beginning, growing deeper, or building your forever? Tell me in the comments so I can imagine what your golden hour would look like.

Name the fear and replace it with a plan.
So many couples tell me, “We’re awkward in front of the camera” or “We don’t know what to do with our hands.” Here’s the truth: you don’t need to know how to pose—you just need to show up as you are.

I guide you through comfort-first posing, tiny micro-movements, and real connection so you’re never left wondering what to do next. I’ll tell you where to stand, where to look, and what to do with those hands, then I’ll layer in small prompts that bring out your natural laughter, the soft looks you save for each other, and the way you fit together without even thinking about it.

By the time we’re done, it won’t feel like “posing” at all. It’ll feel like you two, on your best day, wrapped up in each other—and I’ll be there quietly turning that feeling into photographs you’ll keep coming back to for the rest of your lives.

Question: What’s the thing you’re most nervous about when it comes to being photographed—posing, being the center of attention, or something else? Tell me in the comments and I’ll share how I’d walk you through it.

When you say “we don’t want cheesy photos,” I hear: "we want to feel like ourselves."

You live the moment. I’ll make sure it looks exactly as honest, joyful, and effortless as it felt.

“We don’t know what to do with our hands.”
I hear this all the time—and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things to fix.

Because your hands tell your love story just as much as your smiles do: the way you tuck her hair back, how you pull him closer, that nervous-excited fidget with the ring you just said “yes” to. My job is to guide you so you’re never wondering what to do—you’re just busy feeling everything.

Here are 5 simple prompts I use to turn that awkward hand panic into natural, real moments:
1. “Walk toward me and let your hands brush until one of you decides to hold on.”
2. “Pull them in by the waist like you’re about to whisper a secret.”
3. “Play with her dress / his jacket like you’re straightening it for a photo booth shot.”
4. “Wrap your arms around from behind and sway like you’re slow dancing in your kitchen.”
5. “Hold hands, then—on three—pull each other in for the tightest hug you’ve had all week.”

You’re never expected to just know what to do. I’ll walk you through every pose, every prompt, every little in-between moment—so your photos feel like *you*, not a Pinterest board.

Question: What’s the one thing you’re most nervous about when it comes to being in front of the camera with your partner?

She told me, “We’re so awkward in front of the camera,” right before this moment.
Twenty minutes later, they were forgetting I was even there—running, bumping shoulders, laughing so hard they could barely breathe. That’s the magic I love most: when the stiff, posed smiles fall away and the real connection shows up.

You don’t need to know what to do with your hands or how to “look natural.” You just need to show up as you are. I’ll guide you gently, give you simple prompts, and let your love do the rest—so your photos feel like you, not a version of you trying to perform for the camera.

These are the in-between moments you’ll come back to years from now and say, “That’s us. That’s how it felt.”

**Question:** What makes you most nervous about being in front of the camera—and what kind of moment do you secretly hope we’ll capture together?

Barr Mansion just threw the party of the century. My jaw was on the floor as I was transported from Austin to Paris. This just goes to show you that with the right venue and amazing vendors then you too can host the party and/or wedding of your dreams.

Outstanding job and what a way to start the year off!!! 100/10

The first few minutes in front of the camera can feel…awkward. Your hands don’t know where to go, your smile feels a little stiff, and you’re suddenly aware of every move you make.
That’s why I don’t just point a lens at you—I guide you.

We’ll start with a clear signal so you always know what’s coming next, give you just enough distance to breathe, and work with simple timing cues so you’re never guessing what to do. Most importantly, I’ll keep you focused on each other instead of the camera—because that’s where the real magic lives.

You don’t have to show up knowing how to “pose.” You just have to show up with your favorite person. I’ll take care of the rest.

Question
What makes you most nervous about being in front of the camera—and what would make you feel more at ease during your engagement or wedding photos?

The moment after “yes” is always my favorite. The ring is on, the cheering fades, and it’s just the two of you—laughing, shaking, breathing each other in as the weight of the question gives way to pure relief and joy. That’s the heartbeat of your story.
I’m not there just for the one perfectly posed shot; I’m there for the real stuff in between—the way your hands don’t want to let go, the tears you didn’t expect, the look that says, “We’re really doing this.” Those are the frames you’ll come back to years from now, when this rush of feeling is a memory you’re grateful you can still see.

Question
What’s the moment you’re most excited to have captured—the big “yes,” the quiet after, or something in between?

She didn’t plan to cry.
But the second she turned the corner and saw him—hands shaking, eyes already glassy—everything spilled over. The quiet breath she took. The way her bouquet dipped as her shoulders shook. His jaw clenching because he was trying so hard to keep it together… and completely failing in the best way.

That’s the moment I’m there for.
Not the pose, not the “perfect” smile—the real crack in the armor. The laughter that snorts out unexpectedly, the shock when you see your person all dressed up just for you, the tears that sneak out when you swore you’d stay composed.

Your wedding isn’t a performance; it’s a story. My job is to notice the split-second where your emotion shows up and quietly make it last forever.

**Question**
What’s the reaction you’re most looking forward to on your wedding day—tears, laughter, or total jaw-drop shock? Tell me below. 👇

01/02/2026

The way I see it, my job starts long before you ever step in front of the camera. It’s in those quiet moments where I’m walking the location, checking how the light falls, testing angles, and imagining your reaction before it even happens. I’m thinking about where you’ll stand, how the sun will kiss your shoulders, and which angle will capture the way you look at each other when you forget I’m even there. You deserve to feel taken care of, calm, and completely present—and I’ll handle the details so your only job is to soak in the moment.

**Question:** What helps you feel most at ease in front of the camera—seeing the behind-the-scenes prep, having clear direction, or just being given space to be yourselves?
