One day showed up at the studio with this table. She was very pregnant and had found this stunning, very large *heavy* stone table on marketplace and showed up solo to purchase just the top. I tell her often she’s so crazy and I love it. Since then I’ve been thinking about shooting a scene on this table. She put this table in her recent designer flip and when the house sold they also bought everything inside. So days before closing I popped over to make that dream shoot happen, I almost didn’t, but I’m so glad I did🤍✨🍝

Sometimes our imagination talks us into building a 72” Saltillo tile table in followed by designing custom lighting set that wrapped our set in an orange glow casually shot through foraged olive branches. 🔸🌿 Going for that late afternoon Mediterranean sunset. This was such a fun creative concept and build - thank you to our friends at and . Let’s make more of these ✨

There was a time when I spent about 3 months in Mexico working on a cookbook. This was alongside two French men, a French chef who was raised in Morocco, a kite surfing pastry chef, a full team of exclusively spanish speaking chefs, and a brilliant woman working tirelessly to execute her former husband’s dream of a legacy cookbook.

Chef Larbi made his way to Los Cabos incorporating multiple cultures into stunning innovative dishes. I’ve never eaten better. Felt so hugged from a meal or so inspired by color and culture. It was quite a challenge at times, we even fought (worlds and cultures colliding with passionately creative folks is part of the process), we also bonded like family, escaped a hurricane, ventured out to local spots, had one cartel run in, and I woke up to the sound of the ocean just steps from my door every morning.

The book was never produced, and my heart breaks for that and the team. I can’t be completely sure where it all fell apart, but it’s tragic no less. So, I’ve been sitting on some of these images and I look back on them so fondly. What a gift that job was. To navigate Mexico alone driving dusty roads seeking unique props from off the beaten path gave me so much confidence. Speaking the language poorly but creating meaningful connections. So much discovery in myself, my creativity, my communication. While I sometimes look back on it with sadness for the physical book not making it to press, ultimately the experience was paramount for me. Sometimes there is no finish line🤍🇲🇽

Blood orange Pisco sours dusted with 🤌🏼

Absolutely delighted to now be taking on motion projects. For this one we built a 72” Saltillo tile table in . We created a custom lighting set that wrapped the scene in an orange glow shot through foraged olive branches reminiscent of a late afternoon Mediterranean sunset. This was such a fun creative concept and build - thank you to our friends at . Let’s make more of these ✨
