I LOVED getting to capture these memories for this sweet family — even if it felt a little chaotic for the mamas in the moment! 🤍
I’ve known the Brennan family since middle school. We all graduated around the same time, and Minnie was actually my baton coach when I was about 8 years old. Life has a funny way of bringing people back together, and it means so much when families I’ve known for years trust me to document these seasons of their lives.
And to all the mamas out there who worry that their session is "too chaotic" because the kids aren't smiling perfectly or cooperating the entire time — this session is proof that it doesn't have to be perfect to be beautiful. Not every little one was excited about photos every second of the session, and that's okay! We still had a great time, shared plenty of laughs, and captured so many wonderful images.
Honestly, these moms handled the chaos like pros. They loved on their babies, rolled with the unexpected moments, and trusted the process. Those in-between moments — the cuddles, the giggles, the silly faces, the comforting hugs, the little hands reaching for mom — are usually the images that end up meaning the most anyway.
The days may feel long, but these little ones are only this little for a blink. One day, you'll look back and remember far more than whether everyone was looking at the camera. You'll remember their personalities, their quirks, the way they fit perfectly in your arms, and the love that filled the moment.
