I'm a Florida native, and like many people who grew up here, I've watched the state I love change faster than I ever imagined. Roads widened, neighborhoods disappeared, and the quiet places I remember, slowly gave way to traffic and concrete.
This passion project is the beginning of a long-form photographic series and a personal love letter to Florida. The spaces, people, and details that still carry the Rhythm of old Florida. Not the postcard version, but the lived-in one. Weathered, slow, imperfect and resilient.
These first images are not meant to define old Florida. They are simply where I'm starting. A way of paying attention. A way of returning.
I'm making this work for myself, for my children, and for anyone who remembers Florida before it became so busy. Before it was polished. Before it was gone.
