Sometimes senior photos are more Mom’s idea than yours. 😉

Sebastian was a little unsure about being in front of the camera — but you’d never know it from these! Once we got going, he settled right in, and I love how these turned out.

No forced poses, no need to be someone you’re not. Just a little direction, a relaxed session and photos that actually feel like you.

This one has a story. ❤

When Mom was a little girl, she always dreamed of having photos taken with her horse. She never got to do it—so now, she wanted to give that experience to her own daughters.

Today was my very first horse/barn session, and getting to capture something that had been tucked away in a mom’s heart since her childhood made it even more special.

And honestly…a little girl, her beautiful horse and that pink dress?

Pretty magical.

Some photo sessions are about more than having beautiful pictures. They’re about giving your kids a little piece of the childhood magic you once dreamed about for yourself.

Will absolutely nailed his senior session — relaxed, confident and completely himself. We had a great time walking around, finding some cool spots and creating a mix of photos that really capture him at this moment in his life.

That’s what I love about senior portraits. They’re not just about getting the yearbook photo...they’re about documenting who your kid is right now, before this last year of high school flies by.

I spent yesterday morning with sweet baby Wyatt and his brand-new parents, capturing this fleeting little chapter exactly as it is — tiny toes, sleepy snuggles, quiet moments and two people completely in love with their new little person.

This is what I love most about newborn sessions at home. No elaborate setup. No need for everything to be perfect. Just your baby, your people and the place where your first memories together are being made.

Same place. Same photographer. Two years later. 📸

I photographed this guy for senior portraits a few years ago, and I loved getting the chance to have him back in front of my camera again this year.

There’s something so cool about photographing someone in the same setting a few years later. The backdrop may be familiar, but the person in front of the camera has grown, changed and stepped into a whole new season of life.

And that’s one of my favorite things about photography — freezing those little chapters in time. 🙌
