🌊✨ NYKOL WAS ABSOLUTELY MAKING WAVES! ✨🌊

Day 1 of my PPA One Day Course: Beneath the Surface was officially a splash! 💦📸 Here's our amazing 1st model- Nykol!

She didn’t just get in the water… she dove headfirst into the creative process and absolutely SMASHED it! 🔥
From flowing fabric to underwater posing, she was completely in her element. 😉 She made holding poses, moving underwater, and creating gorgeous, ethereal images look way too easy!

As photographers, we were definitely out of our depth at times 😂—but Nykol kept us afloat and gave us SO much to work with!
📸 Underwater photography is a whole different ballgame—you have to think beneath the surface, go with the flow, and sometimes just dive in and trust the process.

And Nykol? She understood the assignment… hook, line, and sinker! 🎣

Huge thank you to this incredible model for helping my students take the plunge into underwater photography! 🖤

☀️🔥 Beating the Texas heat in studio! 🔥☀️

Helen & Joe stepped into the studio for a little couples portrait session + professional headshots, and I’m loving how these turned out! 😍📸

Because let’s be honest… when Texas decides it’s going to feel like the surface of the sun, the studio is the place to be! 😂🙌

We stayed cool, had some fun, captured their connection, AND knocked out some updated headshots while we were at it. Talk about making the most of a session!

Congratulations to Arling & Manny on officially becoming husband and wife! 🥂❤️

I had the BEST time celebrating with these two on Monday at the beautiful Azalea Weddings in Fort Worth. From the happy tears to the laughter and all the fun in between, it was such a blast capturing their day! 🥰📸

Through Professional Photographers of America I am hosting & teaching a Beginner's Underwater Photography Class – Beneath the Surface in Azle, TX. ✨

📅 Thursday, September 4th, 9:30 to 4:30 PM

If you are a photographer -- this is your sign! This fun, hands-on educational experience is for students who want to learn how to break into underwater photography, underwater safety & equipment used, photograph models underwater, and learn basic editing. Each day consist of classroom instructional followed by underwater photography in the water. You can register for the class directly on the PPA website under workshops, or use the QR codes to register for each day. You do not have to be a PPA member to register. xoxoxo📸

✨ Naomi’s Maternity Session — Studio & Underwater ✨
There’s something extraordinary about watching a mother step into her power. Naomi brought such grace, strength, and softness to her maternity session—both in studio and beneath the surface.

In the studio, she arrived with a traditional Indian sari and wore it in a way that gave breath to motherhood. The deep, flowing fabric framed her beautifully, honoring her heritage while celebrating this new chapter with timeless elegance.

Underwater, she transformed—weightless, ethereal, and completely at peace. The water wrapped around her like a quiet lullaby, turning every movement into art.

These two worlds—bold dramatic studio light and dreamy underwater flow—came together to tell her story in a way that feels both intimate and iconic. What a privilege to capture this chapter for her. 💙 Congratulations, Naomi. You are pure magic.
