This beautiful pup is Shyra. We know her day will come where someone walks in and says, “I’d like to take Shyra home”. We would really like it to come soon.

She’s waited patiently and doesn’t require much. A few snacks, short walks, and some pool time in the summer, but a shelter is not a home no matter how much love she gets from us.

She’s been struggling with extreme dry eye for a number of months now. It’s been difficult to remedy because many of the irritants are commonly found in a shelter environment (ie cleaning supplies among others).

She’s a champ when it comes to getting her drops but she’s still very uncomfortable almost daily.

One solution is to get her adopted or into foster. So please help us share this beautiful girl. She’s needs to find a way out of the shelter and into a loving home.

❗️PSA-IT’S SUPPOSED TO BE HOT TODAY-PLEASE SHARE TO REMIND OTHERS.
❗️Keep your pets cool & hydrated.
❗️FEEL the pavement BEFORE walking your pup. If it’s hot to the touch, then IT’S TOO HOT FOR PAWS! They repaved our roads & the new pavement on a 68° day at 9am was already too hot for our pups paws.
❗️If you see a dog in distress in a hot car, call 911 immediately!!!!
❗️SIGNS & SYMPTOMS of heatstroke in dogs: panting heavily, drooling excessively, appears lethargic, drowsy or uncoordinated, vomiting, collapsing & diarrhea. *If your dog is showing any of these signs, contact your nearest vet immediately!!!!!
