This session allowed myself to use a creative side of me that I never truly thought was there. My mom and sister are artist of the family, not me.

Prior to this session my head was swirling around trying to think of all the great spots around the Gamelands road. Thankfully it’s one of my favorite roads to drive. The trees just cover the road and it’s a peaceful drive. It also makes for some great backdrops.

I felt like the giddiest girl at this shoot. So giddy that all my ideas went flying out the door. I planned for this shoot, I was preparing and ask all types of questions. I was ready but in the blink of an eye I was not.

This made me discouraged and frustrated. I didn’t want to cheat by looking up the Pinterest ideas I had saved or let her pick how she wants to pose, even though she did help some. I wanted to be able to be like toss your hair, kick the water, etc. All my mind could think about was this all looks the same to me what should I do better.

It didn’t take me until I actually reviewed the pictures that I noticed some similarities and a lot of differences between the photos. That I provided good feedback back and how I saw fit to pose. Did I hope for more? Yes. But I also learned what I can do better for next time.

“Every End Is A New Beginning; Graduation Is Just The First Chapter.”

2027 Graduates are starting to look forward to their last year of school before they take on the big world. I got to capture some of those moments for my cousin Audrey. She’s back here visiting from Montana and allowed me and trusted in me to take some senior photos for her.

It was a hot one but we made it thru. She was an awesome model. Here’s to the upcoming seniors, enjoy your year.
