UPDATE: I have found my horse models for this session. Thank you to everyone who commented and messaged! Keep an eye out in the future because I will be doing more mode calls to keep building my portfolio.

Looking for Horse Models – Black Background Portfolio Session (Thursday June 11th)

I am looking for a horse to photograph for a black background portfolio session this Thursday. If possible, I would love to photograph 2 horses if they are at the same barn.

I am specifically seeking horses in the following coat colors:

- Grey
- Roan
- Paint
- Black

Requirements:

- Sleek summer coats
- Tidy manes (long or short is totally fine)
- A clean, tidy bridle (English or Western) or a nice leather/show halter
- A suitable barn aisleway with an open doorway for shooting
- Someone to hold the horse during the session
- Someone to help encourage nice ear expression

In exchange for your horse modeling, you will receive 1–2 fully hand-edited black background portraits per horse.

If you’re interested, feel free to drop a current photo of your horse in the comments. I’d love to see them and will reach out if they’re a good fit.

Jacquelyn Sternung and Fancy

Jacquelyn and Fancy have been showing for their first time in the Southern Equine Open Show Series in Ranch Riding WT, Ranch Rail WT, and Trail WT classes. Their goal is to show in Ranch WTC classes next year, and eventually in Reined Cow Horse.

Fancy was initially trained by a young teen girl, and was the first horse she started and sold by herself. Jacquelyn and Fancy take lessons with Kelsey Stansell at Double S Paints LLC.

Fancy turns 4 today. Happy birthday, Fancy!
