Good Earth Gatherings is a Shop & Learning Center just South of Lawrence. We offer unique goods, community groups and classes on herbs, healthy and sustainable living, arts/writing, earth wisdom, women’s spirituality, stitching, home decorating and other topics. Our goal is to partner with lo

cal businesses and instructors to create opportunities for learning & community-building. We publish a class calendar each month, and our retail shop is usually open the first three Fridays & Saturdays of each month from 10:00am to 4:30pm. How WONDERFUL!! 🦋

Millions of monarch butterflies will travel through the state as they make their journey toward central Mexico.

The butterflies are headed to warmer weather as the days get longer, temperatures change and winter approaches. They usually arrive in Mexico at the beginning of November, a natural event that coincides with the country’s Day of the Dead celebrations.

Kansas plays a vital role in helping the butterflies on their journey, as states like Oklahoma and Texas experience nectar droughts.
