Eliza used to place an internal asterisk on herself. Attractive, for a trans woman. Beautiful, for a trans woman.

Her first session with me helped her work toward removing it. She’s talked about the impact ever since, so when she came back for round two, I asked her to share her story.

She talks about taking up space as a woman without an implied restriction. About what her younger self, who had just started transitioning and only knew this was the path she had to walk, would feel seeing her now. And about why trans people deserve to be represented as who they are: normal people.

Pride month may be over, but this studio celebrates all year round. Thank you SO SO much to beautiful Eliza for sharing her story so eloquently.

PART TWO is here! It’s the BTS reel from Dani’s ( ) session, set to classical music with some of her final images woven in throughout.

What I love about this one is watching her get more and more comfortable as we go. At the end of the session I asked her how she was feeling, and she said she wasn’t nervous anymore, just excited to see what everything was going to look like. She told me the more we worked together the more comfortable she got, and that helped her relax and get excited to try new poses with me.

We had a small cheer moment, and the reel ends on what might be one of my favorite frames ever.

Bo***ir For A Happy, Fat, Bald Lady is here and I’m featuring , who I absolutely LOVED working with!

Dani came in because she had a bold moment and decided to act on it. She wanted to try something completely new and step out of her comfort zone, and she wanted this whole experience to be just for her. She didn’t even tell her family or friends she was coming, which felt really special, because this session was hers and hers alone. 🤍

In our interview she shared the story behind her handle, which actually started as a workplace icebreaker (truly), and her take on beauty. For her, beauty is something you get to define for yourself, not something for anyone else to define for you. After her hair and makeup she said she already felt pretty badass, and she really did.
