Urban Row Photography www.urbanrowphoto.com I believe telling the story of a couple's life is directly connected to a sense of place! Send me an email to connect further!

I not only focus on you as a couple and your relationship, but feel strongly that showcasing the location or surrounding context is extremely important in my photos too - whether that be the location you met, got engaged, currently live, feel most comfortable in, etc. [email protected]

Things I won’t do as your wedding photographer (more detail / thoughts as you swipe to see each frame):

Make the wedding about my portfolio

Ask you to pose in weird ways that don’t feel natural / interrupt genuine moments

Take you away from your favorite people for hours of portraits

Be intrusive

Be unprofessional

Ignore or be too busy for your emails / questions / concerns

Make you wait months to see your wedding photos

This list could be a lot longer (I’ve seen and heard a lot since my first wedding in 2012!), but those are the main things you should know about what it looks like when we work together. 🫶🏻

I love what I do and always want these 3 things for you after the wedding day is over:

1. You to be so excited you’ve married your favorite person

2. You to be so excited about how the photos turned out and all that was documented (both the big and small moments!)

3. You to love the experience of working together (the photos, the communication, guidance and genuine excitement I bring to all of it)

If all of this resonates with you, we should chat about your wedding! The fastest way to reach me? By filling out the inquiry form on my website’s contact page so I have all the info I need to confirm my availability. 🙏🏼

What your wedding looks like when your middle name is Joy (but, actually!)✨

It’s the kind of joy you can’t pose for, plan for, or force…

Just pure, contagious, all-day JOY.

Kinda late to this trend but I had to do it…

You know what’s not kinda chic but actually the best way to approach your wedding?

1. trusting your gut.

2. designing a team of vendors that have the experience, artistry and expertise to execute your vision.

3. including details and elements that will weave your personalities in.

4. hiring a planner.

5. remembering that at the end of the day, you will be MARRIED to your best friend and that’s all that matters.

rainy garden engagements hit different when you look this cute ☔️ Catherine Bryan Wehner

here’s how to love your garden engagement photos even if it rains:

1. bring clear umbrellas just in case (pro tip: or hire a photog who always has them in her car 😉🙋🏼‍♀️)

2. enjoy the place to yourselves because everyone else will be inside

3. embrace the ridiculousness of the timing (srsly, what are the chances this one hour is when it pours? it’s good luck 😉), dance in it and have fun! If it’s not a monsoon and we are able to still be outside, it’s likely going to pass quickly and not last the entire hour!

also: your hair doesn’t have to be perfect for your photos to look 🔥🔥

A wedding, but make it musical theater… 🎭✨

Kathl & Jamie designed a day that felt immersive from start to finish; layered with meaning, intention, and details that told their story in the most unforgettable way. It was incredible to witness!!

From a quiet mindfulness moment led by Kathl’s sister before the day began, to a ceremony on stage with their names on the front marquee in lights… this wasn’t just a wedding, it was an experience. 😍🥹

A custom Playbill welcomed guests.
An embroidered floral veil and matching details for the littlest VIPs.
Kathl in embroidered floral Vans.
Jamie in a blue velvet jacket.
Irish kilts, a whiskey blending during the ceremony, and a live illustrator capturing it all in real time.
Popcorn in the theater seats.
A parachute moment on stage.
Surprises layered throughout the day like acts in a show.

Proof that when your wedding is designed around you, it becomes a day you AND your guests will never forget!

Congratulations, K&J! I am beyond happy for you both and hope you scheduled some relaxation into your honeymoon after all the planning you put into this celebration!! 🍷🍾

after 14 years of wedding days, I’ve seen a lot… and believe me when I say, less really is more.

here’s a reminder that you don’t need to do everything to create something meaningful and memorable… just do what really matters to your story, with intention.

pro tip: the best wedding days aren’t packed with timelines that look like to-do lists, they’re full of all your favorite people that helped get you to this milestone.

slowing down and soaking all of it in is the best way to start your lives as a married couple!

if you envision a day that feels like this, we should chat. 😉
