Old New Castle, I’ll be back soon.

This was the kind of engagement session where you leave with a new favorite town and the fullest heart. Bernadette is pure sunshine and James has a way of drawing out every bit of her glow. Warm, genuinely funny, and so clearly in love, these two are the real thing.

Last night, we met where they had their first date, and while the golden hour light was unreal, what made our evening even more special was getting to retrace the path of that very first time they were together in person.

HAPPY PRIDE, Y’ALL 🎉🌈

I know June comes with a lot of noise. Rainbow capitalism is real, the discourse around it is loud, and I think this sometimes makes people who genuinely care go quiet out of fear of getting it wrong. Internet cancel culture is definitely a thing and it can make even the most well-intentioned people freeze up. But silence from the people who actually care? That’s not it either. So if you’re sitting on a pride post right now wondering if it’s your place to share, it is... promise.

Molly and Nat got married on Friday, and I am still thinking about the golden hour that followed 😍

They kept it sweet and intimate — a courthouse ceremony, dinner close by, a champagne toast. They ended the night on the land where Nat grew up and where these two now call home together. The light was doing the absolute most, and honestly? So were they. (In the best way possible, of course 💁‍♀)

So fun, so kind, so completely in love... The whole celebration felt exactly like them. Which is to say: perfect. Consider me obsessed with these two.

The calm before the celebrations ✨

The details you spent hours poring over... the seating chart, the florals, the epic views? They’re all set. Once your people start arriving, that’s where your attention should go — lean into actually living in the moment you’ve been building toward.

That’s where my attention goes too, but before it does, I’m taking a quiet lap and documenting the room before it fills up. You spend so much time during the planning process visualizing these details but may not actually get to see the final product come together on your wedding day... and if that’s because you were hugging your people and laughing big and sipping on something you love, I’ll call that a win.

After all, that’s what a gallery is for. I want you to remember how it looked AND how it felt too 💕

Now if you need me, I’ll be in full auntie mode for the rest of the weekend. Edits and emails are still happening, just with ocean views and probably somewhere between a nap and storytime. Loving this little refresh before June shows up in full force.

Here’s the thing: your wedding venue shapes SO much of the energy of your day, and honestly, just gets it.

They’ve created a space that does it all, but in a way that never feels rigid or overly cookie cutter. It’s one of those venues that can flex to fit so many different visions while still feeling elevated, intentional, and incredibly welcoming.

I mean… the name says it all. The views are unreal, obviously, but what really makes this place special is the way the entire property flows. Guests can spread out and take in the amazing rolling hills of Virginia in just as easily as they can cozy up inside, catching up with their people over a signature drink. Nobody’s crammed into one corner waiting for the next thing to happen.

And the ballroom? Truly the perfect elevated blank canvas. Add in a team that’s genuinely so good at what they do, and it all sets the tone for the best day ever without ever feeling forced.
