Some events you photograph. Others you feel incredibly grateful just to witness. 🤎
I had the honor of joining Assocation of AfAm Museums in Philadelphia to photograph African American Museum In PHL 's 50th Anniversary Jubilee, and what a beautiful celebration of Black history, culture, community, and joy it was.
☀️From the food and fellowship to the The Urban Guerilla Orchestra music, the Fletcher Street Riding Club , and ending the evening photographing Marsha Ambrosius with DJ Diamond Kuts it was one of those assignments that reminded me exactly why I love what I do. 💕

Because our history doesn’t only live behind museum walls. It’s alive in our music, our traditions, our laughter, our families and in the stories we continue creating together.
50 years of preserving our history…and so much history still left to make. 🤎
Congratulations, . It was an absolute privilege to help preserve this chapter through my lens.

What a way to close out an incredible week in Philadelphia. 🤎

I had the honor of joining the Association of African American Museums for the African American Museum in Philadelphia’s 50th Anniversary Jubilee! A beautiful evening celebrating our history, our culture, and our future.

As the sun set over the city, generations gathered for food, fellowship, Black history, Philly traditions, and incredible music. And somehow, I found myself camera in hand photographing Marsha Ambrosius, an artist I’ve admired for decades. 🥹

There are moments when I’m reminded just how special this work is. Preserving the people, institutions, and celebrations carrying our stories forward will always mean something deeper to me.

Congratulations to the African American Museum in Philadelphia on 50 years. Here’s to the history already preserved and all the history still being made. 🤎

For years, Victoria and Phil have celebrated each anniversary with a photography session. What started as portraits of just the two of them has beautifully evolved into documenting their growing family year after year.

One of the greatest compliments a family can give us is inviting us back year after year. 🤍
