4️⃣0️⃣ taught me that growth isn’t always graceful.
This past year has held some of the highest highs I’ve ever experienced and some of the lowest lows. Along the way, I’ve had incredible experiences and met some truly amazing people—people who have impacted my life in ways they’ll probably never fully know. It stretched me in ways I never expected and asked me to face parts of myself I’d ignored for far too long.
There were tears. Hard conversations. Therapy with counselors I trust (yes, more than one), countless talks with friends who loved me enough to tell me the truth, and sitting in the quiet moments with God and myself.
Some of the hardest lessons weren’t about other people—they were about me.
I began recognizing patterns, beliefs, and habits that no longer serve the woman I want to become. Healing requires honesty, humility, and the courage to choose differently, again and again.
A huge part of that growth came from and her “Let Them Theory.” Learning to release what I can’t control, let people be who they are, and focus on my own response has brought me so much peace. It’s a lesson I carry with me every day.
I’ve learned that growth isn’t a destination—it’s a daily decision. I’m still human. I still stumble. But those moments no longer define me. Every day is another chance to choose growth, healing, and grace.
This year reminded me that strength isn’t pretending everything is okay. It’s allowing yourself to be transformed by what you’ve walked through.
So today, I celebrate more than another birthday.
I celebrate resilience.
I celebrate growth.
I celebrate healing.
I celebrate grace.
I celebrate becoming.
Here’s to 41—to healthier relationships, deeper peace, stronger boundaries, greater joy, and a heart that continues to be shaped by love, wisdom, and God’s grace.
The best version of me isn’t behind me.
I have a feeling she’s just getting started. ✨💙
