Hi everyone,

One thing I will never get over is how magical the coast of Maine is for weddings and engagement sessions.

From the rocky shoreline in Acadia National Park to the quiet harbors and pine lined views around Mount Desert Island… it just feels so romantic and timeless. There’s something about the way the light hits the water at sunset, the sound of the waves, and those soft coastal breezes, it creates the most natural, emotional moments without even trying.

And honestly, it’s beautiful in every season. Summer has that golden glow and ocean breeze, fall brings the dreamiest mix of foliage and coastline, winter feels quiet and intimate with soft tones and empty shores, and spring has that fresh, coastal air and softer light, it all photographs so differently but equally beautifully.

Coastal sessions are some of my favorite to photograph. They’re usually a little more relaxed, a little more adventurous, and always so you. Whether it’s walking along the cliffs, dancing by the water, or just soaking in that golden hour glow, it never feels forced and that’s when the best photos happen!

✨ Looking Back on 2025 Wedding Trends ✨

2025 weddings were full of intention, emotion, and so many beautiful creative choices. I loved seeing couples lean into what truly mattered to them, and these were some of my favorite trends from the year 🤍

• Flower baskets instead of traditional bouquets: added that perfect touch of whimsy
• Sneaking away for sunset photos: guests are entertained and eating, the couple gets to sneak away for quiet intimate photos without the pressures of hungry guests, and the dreamiest light for stunning photos.
• Vows by the ocean: the fog, the boats and the sound of waves crashing against the rocks create the perfect backdrop for a wedding ceremony.
• Fall color palettes: rich, cozy tones that felt timeless and elegant.
• Satin dresses: elegant, simple, and stunning in photos.
• Private vows during the first look: intimate and incredibly meaningful, allows the couple to truly express their emotions with each other before the guests arrive.

One of my favorite parts of 2025 was watching couples slow the day down, choosing presence over pressure, and meaningful moments over packed timelines. Those days always resulted in the most honest, emotional images.
