Last night my family and I walked through downtown Jackson, GA and captured a hyperlapse of the evening. The town was alive cars moving, people out, lights bouncing off the storefronts. Jackson has a way of feeling energized even after dark, and it made for some great motion in the footage.

A Stroll Through Barnesville’s Illumination Celebration ✨

I took a walk through downtown Barnesville during the Illumination Celebration on November 26th, and main street felt alive in the best way. The lights, the music, and the familiar faces all came together to kick off the season with that classic Barnesville charm.

The trees around the square were glowing, and every storefront had its own touch of Christmas spirit. You could feel the pride local businesses put into their displays — simple, welcoming, and full of heart. Families stopped for photos, kids ran around pointing out their favorite decorations, and you could hear laughter carry across Main Street.

What stood out most was the sense of community. Barnesville always finds a way to make these moments feel personal. Whether you were grabbing a cup of cocoa, visiting the trees at Ritz Park, or just taking it all in, the whole evening reminded you why this town feels like home.
