Throughout pregnancy, there is so much focus on the new baby and Mama (as it should be!) Women go through so much to bring life into this world. But so often, the fathers/husbands and their sacrifices often go overlooked.

This man has stepped up in every way imaginable. Cooking meals, doing all of the cleaning, taking care of Graham, tending to the chickens and so much more. He is always making sure we all have what we need and are taken care of. So grateful for a husband and father of my children who we can count on no matter what.

When I first started my photography business 7 years ago, I remember sharing my vision for this business with my husband. I wanted genuine connection with my clients, who felt more like friends, and who would keep coming back over the years to capture life’s milestones. I am so blessed to have many clients who come back year after year, but this last session felt extra special.

Brooke and Dan first stood in front of my camera in 2022 for their engagement session. We had the BEST time, despite it being so cold! Since then, I have photographed:

Yesterday we had to say goodbye to our sweet old man, Riley. Words can’t describe the ache of losing a dog you have had your entire adult life.

I brought Riley home when I was 18 years old. He was there when I went away to college, when Galen and I started dating, through moves up and down the coast, our wedding and starting a family. I honestly cannot remember life without him.

Riley, you were such a unique, loving, funny little dog that always kept life interesting. The house feels so quiet without you. We will miss you forever. Thank you for over 16 beautiful years. Rest in the sweetest peace, my sweet boy.
