Gammy's Bartlesville Pics

Gammy's Bartlesville Pics Retired BPS teacher. Grandson at Bartlesville High School & Granddaughter who graduated BHS in 2023. You can follow us on IG .

This page was originally created as a way to share the pics I took at my grandson's football games with team parents. That's why you will see so many 7th grade Bruin game pics :) Once those pics started being shared, parents from other teams started asking if I could take pics at their games, too. Our family loves Bruin football so I try to get to as many of the games as I can. My daughter set up and helps me run this page and once I started taking Varsity pics the high school kids were asking if I was going to post them on Instagram. At that point, I had to pull my granddaughter in run an Instagram page. All pics the I have taken are accessible on my Google Drive. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/180XO5yBwemiAkM-_F6HQ-9yIk5ZQlh_u?usp=sharing

All I ask is that you tag your friends in the pics here on Facebook and share the page with them so more people can enjoy these pictures! If you would like me to come to a game to take pics of your team message the page with details.

Matt Hennesy’s Radio Show at Dink's Pit BBQ with Evan Fahrbach featured Coach Robert Daniels and junior quarterback #14, Michael Kent.
Coach Robert Daniels has been coaching football for 15 years, including six years at the college level and nine years at the high school level. He brings experience, knowledge, and a genuine passion for the game to our Bruin football program.
But for Coach Daniels, coaching is about much more than football.
His goal is to help young players become the very best versions of themselves, on the field, in the classroom, at home, and in life. He believes in accountability and love, two principles he uses to challenge his players, encourage them, and help them reach their full potential.
Football may be the classroom, but the lessons are much bigger than the game.
When Coach Daniels isn’t coaching, he enjoys spending time with his family. He and his wife, Ashley Daniels, are happily married and value their time together.
We’re proud to have Coach Daniels leading our defense and, even more importantly, helping shape the young men and the young lady who wear the Bruin uniform.
Coach Daniels, thank you for investing not only in our players, but in the men and young lady they are becoming.

Coach H. mentions that Michael started as the Bruin QB midway through his freshman year, “And I think that experience has served him well.”
He’s been around the lights, the pre-game hype, the noise in the stands, the expectation. He doesn’t seem to get caught up in any of it. The moment the bullets start flying around him, Michael knows how to block out the noise, stay focused, and concentrate on what’s happening right in front of him, beside him, and behind him.
On a personal note, I started taking photos of Michael FIVE years ago.
And ALL of those photos are still right there on GammysBartlesvillePics.
Year. By. Year.
I’ve had the privilege of watching him grow, not just as a football player, but as a young man.
Michael is a born leader, both on and off the field. When Evan asked about one of Michael’s favorite things to do when he’s not playing football, the answer was pretty simple:
SHOP.
Especially for shoes.
Yep. Football. Leadership. Quarterback.
And apparently…shoes.
You can hear/watch the entire interview on KWON 1400, KRIG 104.9, KYFM 100.1, KPGM 1500

And if you’re wondering about that first picture…

If you don’t know, you’ll just have to listen to last evening’s broadcast. Coach H. explains it.

Tomorrow night, 09/04, our Bruins hit the road and head to Lantow Field in Claremore.
7:00 PM.
The Student Council theme is CAMO. So let’s see if we can outnumber the Zebras in the stands! Everyone wear CAMO. All of us. They may not be able to see us coming…They may not even know we’re there…Until the roar from the Bruin side of the stands lets them know exactly how many of us showed up. Let’s fill those stands, Bruin Nation!

CAMO UP. SHOW UP.

GAMMY UPDATE (from Brooke) 😂📸🏈

Since half of Bartlesville has checked on Gammy today, I figured I’d save everyone a message: She’s fine! ❤️

She got overheated and dehydrated last night. Our amazing coaches’ wives started cooling her down and got Alan, Dr. Hightower and me down there to her. They checked her out, cooled her off and sent us to the ER to be safe and rule out a heat stroke. After an IV, bloodwork and several hours, she was declared perfectly healthy and released around 2 a.m.

We hit up Whataburger and I took her home with instructions to rest and chug some Pedialyte. Of course, she’s actually home editing the pictures from last night!!

We have, identified the cause of the problem:

HER 74-YEAR-OLD SELF DECIDED TO RUN FROM ONE END ZONE TO THE OTHER IN AUGUST IN OKLAHOMA TO “GET THE SHOT.”

Apparently she thinks she’s 25 and photographing the Super Bowl. 😂

Thank you SO much to everyone who helped her and has checked on her. She loves these kids, the coaches, our Friday night lights family and this entire community, and it’s pretty obvious y’all love her right back. ❤️

Going forward, I need everyone’s help with one simple rule:

If you see Gammy running on the sidelines, tackle her. She is not allowed to run!

I’ve tried reasoning with her. We’re past that. If she does it again I will take her camera away and make her sit in the stands with me.

Thank you Bruin Football Family!

(Also if there’s an IV hydration place in town that wants to hook her up to fluids on Wednesdays or Thursdays before game days to hydrate her we won’t turn you down)

P.S. *Gammy here* It was just my annual trek to the ER. Last year 09/05, it was a ride in an ambulance to get my cat scanned (I don’t have a cat) after Wyatt and I were rear-ended after the Claremore game. Thanks all. 💙🩵
